Me and my roommate were thinking about this one.

You know how the analysts always say, "He was watching the QBs eyes, and jumped the route perfectly!"?

I was thinking, wouldn't wearing a Dark Visor prevent DBs from watching a QBs eyes?

I imagine it would be a little harder to "look-off" a Safety..... but hey.

* I also remember Colt Brennan wore a Visor a lot too, I wonder if that helped him at all.

** My apologies for the stupid question. I imagine the answer is pretty simple and basic. But I just had to ask. :D

He has an eye condition where bright lights bother him, its why he always has sunglasses on in interviews.

I wouldn't know about that, but I do know there are no other pictures of him wearing a visor with any other team except the Vikings....I thought I remember him wearing one with the Bears, but can't find a pic.

Ya'll are correct about the doctors orders to wear the dark visor, the player has to have a condition where the bright lights affect them.

I would imagine that visors could also decrease visability by getting dirty and scratched up. Especially in open stadiums with grass and dirt flying around. At a position where clear vision and split second decisions are needed at all times any slight smudge or scratch could hurt a QB's accuracy and timing.

I'm pretty sure even if you had a dark visor the defense knows which way the quarterback is looking by his shoulders not his eyes. Could be wrong but always though this.

Unless necessary I would think most QB's would not want to wear one. They have enough things in their line of sight. A visor would probably just contribute to the problem.

I've wondered this question for a long time now too. They always talk about "reading the QB's eyes." How can defenses do that if they can't see it? I know if I were a QB, I'd wear the rainbow ones, like what Colt's wearing in the Senior Bowl pic.

I've had the biggest man-crush on this guy for about four years now. I wish on a daily basis that this guy would be a Saint, and be next-in-line after Drew. Pro scouts compared him to be a "taller Drew Brees."
