Why is Taysom not the #2 quarterback?????? (1 Viewer)

When Carr was injured Taysom should have been the #2! He has proven himself beyond any doubt to at least be the #2.
Why do you care what they call him? he played as much if not more than Winston same as with Carr so you could call him a tight end and he's still touching the ball 30 percent of the time and being effective except when asked to pocket pass.

Jameis completion percentage - 61.2%
Taysom completion percentage - 64.8%
Jameis winning percentage - 42.5%
Taysom winning percentage - 77.8%
Winning percentage means nothing in this case. Both are terrible.

This. All day this. And Taysom’s completion % is even better in games he starts. The myth that he can’t throw or complete passes is just that. He can and does when given the opportunity. They won’t play him at QB full time because they want to be right more than they want to win. Can’t be anything else. If they put Taysom in there and he wills the team to wins (and he would) the coaches and FO look like idiots for not doing it sooner and spending all that money on Carr. So it’s not gonna happen unless they are out of options.

Taysom will never be a game day backup for a traditional QB. The game plan that you'd build for him is vastly different than it would be for Carr. Winston is the natural game day backup for the normal offense. We'll see who starts next week, because I doubt it's going to be Carr..

DA just said post game “Carr will not get benched or rest regardless of his injury” they really taking up for Carr no matter what.
DA's remark is completely irresponsible. A decent man would have said, "we will be very careful with our decisions about his playing time. His health and well-being now and in the future is the most important consideration." Promising to jam him back in the lineup is just wrong.
