Why is the steelers plane (1 Viewer)

Isn't USAir based out of Pittsburgh?

Maybe Mr Rooney has a date with one of those classy babes on Decatur Street.

Maybe the one with the purple hair.

They have a Steelers, Cardinals, Eagles and unfortunately Panthers for their hubs in PIT, PHX, PHL and CLT.

Actually, they were based in Philadelphia until they merged with American West Airlines and now they're based out of Phoenix.

Like another poster said, their hubs are Phoenix, Philly, Charlotte, and Pittsburgh (although Pittsburgh has been DRASTICALLY reduced in size over the past couple of years.) They also hub somewhat out of Las Vegas but - no NFL team. :hihi:

It's just a regular USAirways plane bringing passengers to either Philly, Charlotte, or DC. I actually flew on this plane when I went to the Redskins game this year from NYC to DC.

Wait, I'm totally lost. Is this a team plane that is clearly identified with the team logo and colors or is this somehow a regular commercial plane that people are mistaking as a team plane?

Not the Steelers plain. US airways is based in Pennsylvania, so they paint the eagles and steelers on a lot of their planes.

I'm gonna have to fly stand-by if I'm ever expected to board that Panthers jet :angryrazz:

Horizon/Alaska Airlines does the same thing here in the Northwest, except they use PAC-10 schools.

I've seen all of them land here in Billings.
