Why now? (3 game win streak) (1 Viewer)

Yeah they’re a long ways off but I’ll still cheer for em. 😊 As I know you do too.

CJ trying to win this one late. He’s on fire.
What CJ did at the end of the 4th quarter is exactly what I meant about the lack of 3 point accuracy we often see in key games. If the Pels can't get a few players to get hot from behind the arc in any game, they're done. CJ & Jose' took control of the game last night once they started sinking those 3 pointers.

I realize that 3 point shots are never automatic. But it seems like our opponents are always hitting those in the 40+% range, and they have no problem pulling away on the scoreboard while we have to start forcing up 3s that never go in. And don't even get me started on free throws. :covri:

Missing 5 of the last 8 free throws quite literally kept the Pels from beating the Grizzlies tonight. This is a fundamental requirement for a professional basketball team as it pertains to being a contender in the league. It’s quite sad that this continues to be an issue with this team. :covri:

At this point I prefer to see losses anyway.

Really pulling for Duke to win it all to increase the chances of Cooper Flagg entering the 2025 draft. Even if we don't end up with the #1 pick, his presence in the draft increases the odds of us getting a player that can make an instant impact (assuming we get a top 3 pick). Let's be real here....without our injury situation this year there would be no way in hell that we would be sniffing a top talent in the draft this year so let's hope we can make the best of a bad situation

Would love to see any of our posters who know basketball start a thread talking about the top talent in the upcoming draft and how they would fit in with the Pels (assuming we aren't a MASH unit again next year)

While absolutely true^, there must come a time in the near future when free throws & easy under-the-basket layups become nearly automatic or else we are right back in this position for the foreseeable future.

It is time to shut it down. Enhancing our chances to get as high a pick as possible in the upcoming draft is more important than what the team does on the court for the rest of this miserable season. Griffin needs to tell Green that he needs to play younger players to give them experience and to find out their potential. The idea that Green might winning games down the stretch will save his job is crazy. Green's evaluation should be based on his years as head coach, not the last 20 games of this season.

Just don't do it in a way that'll get them fined for deliberate tanking...

I don’t know if the Pels are really trying or not, but I sure hope they aren’t in this Pistons game tonight. There’s no excuse to be down over 30 points at halftime. There’s nothing professional about this team. :covri:
