Saints Why the Saints HATE....? (1 Viewer)

I still respect Florio as a sports reporter and analyst. His pointing out how much of a scam the bounty fiasco was still resonates with me.

As for Simms, he wasn't a pimple on his daddy's you-know-what in terms of being a true NFL QB. That's as much as I can say without violating the TOS around here

We might receive a good bit of hate, but has anyone ever heard a word about the Buffalo Bills? Unless you live in the Western NY area you wouldn’t even know that they had a team. They are 7-2, and have the 3rd best record in the AFC, but nobody even talks about them, unless it’s to crap on Josh Allen.

Josh Allen is like 2nd in the MVP race. He hit slump for a few weeks, but he's had a fantastic step up in play.

Yeah, I don't mind Florio. I give these guys a lot of slack. Their PFT format is feeding news bites and for the most part they are valid and informative. I admit I do check in for recent updates. Some times they post some questionable click-bait items.

But, regarding Florio and Simms' response to the tweets, I'm a little surprised Florio was butthurt about it. I don't think their trolling either, though they could be. He should have just rolled with it and had some fun back at the players and tweets instead of "I can't wait until they lose to the Falcons so I can say Nyah, Nyah right back at you." Disappointing.

The problem i have with football media following this game was that 90% of them criticizing Brady and the Bucs and not talking about the positives regarding the Saints. They took offense to some short social media bites like 12 year kids. Of course not all. (Kay Adams and a few others) Now I must say that it was nice to hear Brady being crushed.

The Saints will lose another game (at least) this season... and when they do... no matter who it is against.. these two clowns are going to jump all over it and think that they’re “getting even” and/or “sticking it to” the Saints and the WDN...

But in reality... when that happens, it will just make them look more like the hacky idiots they are.

There are a handful of tv talking heads that seem to have bad blood for the Saints... these two knuckleheads for sure... Maurice Jones-Drew is another... Sleazy Pete Prisco.. Bayless and Cowherd to an extent as well. I don’t get it, but that’s part of the reason why the Saints are portrayed as “bad guys” quite a bit.

Of all of them though... Simms bugs me the most. It’s that face... something about that face just makes me want to punch it as hard as can...

I’ve noticed there is a bit of saltiness about the Saints from Brandon Marshall. He always takes a very negative perspective on the team during analysis and following the Bucs game, his comment was “this is what the Saints do - they dominate the regular season and then choke in the playoffs”.

His slanted views of the Saints seems to be recognized enough that the Inside the NFL crew trolls him a bit about it.

On this weeks show they were doing a Jeopardy segment on sports trivia and one of the questions was “this former New Orleans Saints receiver logged 46 100 yd games in his career”. Marshall responded “Who is Joe Horn” and the answer was actually Brandon Marshall.

He played it off and laughed but you could tell it annoyed him and he wanted to make it clear he “only had a cup of coffee with the Saints.”

Anyway, I know they picked Dez over him in 2018 and then after Dez went down, he still didn’t get a spot - so maybe he just holds a grudge.

Anyway, it just seems obvious.

One thing is clear, assuming the regular season plays out with us being a high seed or even the 1 seed...everyone will think they're picking cleverly and have us lose our first game.

"Saints always choke" etc.

We need it this year. We need to crush everyone we face. It would be such a sweet feeling to triumph over all the crap of the past few years and see Brees raise the Lombardi again for the last time.
