Saints Why the Saints HATE....? (1 Viewer)

One thing is clear, assuming the regular season plays out with us being a high seed or even the 1 seed...everyone will think they're picking cleverly and have us lose our first game.

"Saints always choke" etc.

We need it this year. We need to crush everyone we face. It would be such a sweet feeling to triumph over all the crap of the past few years and see Brees raise the Lombardi again for the last time.
The Saints didn't choke in 2017...Marcus Williams sort-of did with an awful tackle attempt, and then the refs stole 2018 from us, and then we just lost in 2019.

They mad cause of all the crow they gotta eat. In particular with Florio who wrote incidiary article on M.T
I totally agree with this assessment. They not only missed it they missed it very bad. Nowadays people are very selfish and self-centered much more than they were three or four decades ago. So when they missed it very bad they did not want to be shown up. My thought is this, if you cannot take the heat then get out of the kitchen. These people are supposed to be professionals. They must know that at some point they're going to miss on their choices. Yet instead of admitting they made a mistake they, want to blame other people

Of all of them though... Simms bugs me the most. It’s that face... something about that face just makes me want to punch it as hard as can...

His punch-able face is the only one I can think of that surpasses his father's... must be genetic...

Mind you, they are both blow-hard douche-nozzels... also genetic I guess.

I’ve noticed there is a bit of saltiness about the Saints from Brandon Marshall. He always takes a very negative perspective on the team during analysis and following the Bucs game, his comment was “this is what the Saints do - they dominate the regular season and then choke in the playoffs”.

His slanted views of the Saints seems to be recognized enough that the Inside the NFL crew trolls him a bit about it.

On this weeks show they were doing a Jeopardy segment on sports trivia and one of the questions was “this former New Orleans Saints receiver logged 46 100 yd games in his career”. Marshall responded “Who is Joe Horn” and the answer was actually Brandon Marshall.

He played it off and laughed but you could tell it annoyed him and he wanted to make it clear he “only had a cup of coffee with the Saints.”

Anyway, I know they picked Dez over him in 2018 and then after Dez went down, he still didn’t get a spot - so maybe he just holds a grudge.

Anyway, it just seems obvious.

I still don’t understand the “choke” part when it comes to the playoffs. Except for the Minnesota Miracle😕, I can’t remember a single game that we choked. Last year the Vikings were way more physical than us and deserved to
Win.

If there is one team that has choked in the past it’s the Vikings. The NFC championship games in 2009 and 2017 are just two examples!

Its probably because they also bet and play with big money. They lost big on media and probably pockets. I'd be butt hurt too if I lost like that. Not saying I take up for them, but I'm sure they make a lot of money to burn on bets. I mean, why is it important to keep a record of who you picked on national media?

The national spots media has a very simple formula for football and it’s designed to allow maximum deflection when they are wrong.

Wednesday - talk objectively about the upcoming matchup.

Thursday - talk less objectively about the upcoming matchup.

Friday - zone in on the favorite.

Saturday - pump up the favorite.

Sunday (pregame) - reinforce the favorite.

Monday - editorialize why favorite won or lost.

Tuesday - discuss player, players or coach from last weeks favorite and how they will bounce back or continue rolling.

Rinse and repeat.

I like how the Bucs were supposed to win because the Saints almost lost to the Bears, who were 5-2, the week before. The Bucs should have lost to the Giants, who were 1-6, that same week.

you gotta admit though, almost losing to the Bears is pretty telling. The only thing worse I can think of is actually losing to the Bears.

I don't think he's in the top 3 right now.

Mahomes, Wilson and Rodgers definitely still ahead of him.
Nah... What Allen is doing is way more impressive than Rodgers. Mahomes and Allen are neck and neck. Even with a 4 week slump. He's still trading blow for blow with the top QBs.
