I hope that this is the secret plan. He makes throws that Carr just can’t. Our best scenario this year is to lose in first playoff game; therefore, Let this guy get some experience and then build the team around him with an offensive line. Carr is not a long term answer. Rattler has less experience but the same poise as Carr with better vision , progression , mobility than , and arm than Carr . Be bold saints and make this team work around the guy with Better potential . Haener is drew Brees with broken shoulder at best. Great coaches make bold moves

Totally possible... Like... Totally.... Like... No sarcasm what so ever.... This has to be the plan... and I agree with it 1000%

Let's hope not. That means Carr went down injured for more than part of a game. Which means our OL is as bad as feared. Which means we don't want Rattler out there getting hurt behind this OL.

For a quick second there I thought this was a KoodAid thread, but then I remember he plays DB, not QB.

If he starts it's either because Carr is hurt or the season is lost. I don't think there is necessarily a plan with Rattler, he's a guy that was just too talented to pass on in the 5th round. The plan for this year is for Carr to the the starter, and we'll see where he goes.

But if we're sitting sub .500 after midseason the Rattler watch will officially begin.

Compared to Haener, Rattler is a much higer ceiling prospect. We take it slow with Rattler. If something happens to Carr in a game i think Haener is who you want to come in and salvage a game coming in cold. Haener is still a solid prospect as well. More times then not the slow approach worked in development back in the day. Haener better at the nuances of pocket qb play. Ride Carr for two years and focus on development of both your young qbs.

This could be an interesting thread to revisit, depending on how the QB production and team’s record looks at the middle of the season.
