He's an aging vet who is, at best, a situational fringe player. His value to the team is probably most felt off the pitch, rather than on it.

He's also an excellent case study for why fans who endlessly Jones after signing former players, as if they'll discover a veritable fountain of youth, need to stay a little more connected to the real world.
