Win out (1 Viewer)

NFL teams traveling from Central or Eastern time zones to the West Coast to play on Thursday night have a historical winning percentage of around 32%, that's the stat that scares me, hope we can break the trend...

Yea,I really can't see the Saints winning tonight. But the division will still be there for the taking. Last 2 games will definitely be must wins!

Lemme just stop you right there. Check out how often the away team wins on a Thursday night. Let's get past that roadblock before we go any further.

And I see someone already addressed this. To be honest, I'm surprised it's as high as 32%.

Actually the number is 9!
I looked up some #s regarding this. Now I’m talking Regular Season only. Until 1987, the Saints longest season ending winning streak was……..ONE! They did it only 6 times in the first 20 years of the franchise. 1987 was the record that still stands, 9.
Since then they’ve ended with a streak of more than 1:
1989 3
1990 2
1991 2
2004 4
2011 8
2015 2
2019 3
2020 2
2021 2

So you can see, if we were to finish on a 5 game win streak, it would be the 3rd longest season ending w streak in franchise history.

I don't know that the Saints can beat the Rams tonight, but I don't think the Saints beat the Bucs in Tampa.
