there was a quarterfinal heat with a Turkish skater running a very distant 5th of 5 - then on the very last curve (like 2 seconds from the end), the top 3 crash out and Turkish skater finishes second and pumps his arms as he crosses (hopefully out of shock for his good fortune)

I had no idea my University had an Olympian at the games. Biathlon. Deedra Irwin.

Not only that, but she had the best finish of an American... ever. If she didn't get the one shooting penalty, she'd have won the silver.

I caught the mens downhill Sunday--- when they showed a "POV" for the audience and all the "blind " turns, while doing 70mph, i have a new found appreciation for downhill skiers.
