With the 10th Pick in the 2025 draft, the Saints select? (38 Viewers)

Going through them I really done see it. Maybe the Raiders, but that seems questionable with Bowers being their “alpha” receiving threat and Jakobi Meyers being a decent number 2 option. They have way bigger needs than WR.

Bigger needs doesn't mean one of those teams won't take him. We are sitting here in this thread with most arguing for taking BPA instead of need when you have a roster with holes all over it. All the teams above us have the same or more holes so they could take BPA especially since none of those teams have two great WRs.

It's not worth discussing with some of these guys. Dudes on here actually think he's not fast or strong. They have some really weird takes to discount that man's talent.
Y'all twisting people's words.

I NEVER said he's not strong. I didn't even say he's not fast, I said he doesn;t have elite pull away speed. (He's always been a 4.5 speed guy) I even said I'd change my position on him if he ran a sub 4.5 at the combine.

I said he's an intriguing prospect.

I just don't think he's a whole class better than the other top 3 or 4 backs.

I will not be upset if we draft him, but if we could turn the number 10 pick into 2 players, I'd rather have two top tier players than 1.

Y'all do too much and twist people's post.

Pretending teams don’t regularly draft for need over BPA would be an incredibly naive way to look at the draft. One can easily see teams do it all the time by looking at previous drafts. The Raiders likely will have Bowers and Meyers both hit 1,000+ yards this year with scrubs at QB. I doubt they are thinking WR is a priority over all the other positions they need. Hell a guy like Jeanty would be a much more logical pick if we are going off BPA for them.

Of course they do draft for need sometimes, but I doubt all 9 teams ahead of us are going to do that while ignoring a better talent like McMillan. But you said they have bigger needs. Sometimes teams draft another need if the player is better than what is their biggest need.

But, the fact is that Cleveland, the Giants, Jacksonville, Carolina, the Jets, and Raiders all need a big X contested catch guy like McMillan. They may have bigger needs but they all need at least one more WR and could easily take him. And maybe the Titans will decide they don't like the QBs. If I were them, I would not take Sanders or Ward at #2.

And I don't even think Jeanty is particularly good value at #10 much less at #2.

The data shows he has pull away speed regardless of what his combine time is. As I highlighted in my previous post, he hit 21+ mph 4 times this past season. No other player in the nation did so more than twice. He has legit top end speed, which can be seen on his several 50+ yard touchdowns last the past couple years including against some of the best teams in the nation (Washington/Oregon).

It took him 30 carries to get over 100 yards. At his size, he wont last long in the NFL getting 30 carries a game. He also wont last long fumbling twice every game either.

The fact is Penn State did stop him. And they won the game. You can stand on his 100 yards if you think that's sum, but 2 fumbles and a big fat LOSS ain't at all that.

This was a major OL/DL mismatch. I don’t think it’s fair to put this all on Jeanty.

You're not the only one who is downplaying Jeanty's talent.

I don't think it's all on him at all, but he's not gonna stunt all over NFL defenses like he has been mountain west defenses.

I know he's a talented running back, I just don't think he's the only talented running back in this class nor is he so much more talented than the top 3-4 running backs that we should shoot down any trade offers at 10 just cause he's on the board.

How many times a player hits top speed is often a function of the opportunity to reach full speed more than evidence that they are faster than others.

And Washington isn't close to one of the best teams in the nation. They were 6-7 this year.

Jeanty is not the only great college back that feasted on bad teams and got stifled by stacked boxes against actual good teams that were focused on stopping them. This really isn’t the indicator of future performance people think it is.

Football is a team sport.

If it was that easy, every single back out there would feast against those same bad teams.

Adrian Peterson for example:

Bad/subpar games are going to happen when you’re the best player on the field and everyone knows that stopping you is the key to victory.

Cleveland is in a great position to draft a QB.

Giants literally just took Nabers last year. Nabers is the focal point of their offense. Would be shocked if they even considered Tetairoa

Jacksonville just took Brian Thomas. Would be shocked to see them take another WR so early.

Carolina is possible, but they also just took a 1st round WR last year. They “could”, but I have doubts they do. Guessing they would look towards someone like Abdul Carter or Mason Graham.

Jets still have Garrett Wilson and Devante Adams for now. Doubt they look at Tetairoa.

Raiders as mentioned seem doubtful as well. Other more pressing needs and a guy like Jeanty would make more sense if they wanted to go “BPA”.

Nah, they stopped that trash oline lol. Go watch the highlights, Jeanty still looked great
