With the 9th Pick in the 2025 draft, who should the Saints select? (merged) (12 Viewers)

If we don't sign Becton, it will be Will Campbell.
He is gifted enough to step right in & start at LG.

As CKM said in his initial head coach interview, you have to build your lines first...

Campbell will be moved inside , I highly doubt that we use the 9th pick in the draft on a guy that's going to play OG

My 1st choice is to sign Mekhi Becton or Tevain Jenkins in free agency.

It not... it would be great if we could move down grab a few extra picks & get Campbell but the problem with passing on him & drafting a OG in April is the significant drop in talent between Campbell & the best rated OG...

We need someone to step in and be a legitimate starter next season at LG regardless of our draft position.

I like the idea of Booker, if Warren, Jeanty and Tet are off the board and we trade down a few picks.

I also really like the idea of drafting Belton out of NC St and moving him inside. I read an article about him having the heaviest hands in the draft, then go watch his tape and you can see it. He hits DTs/DEs and they stop dead in their tracks and some of them even fall down. That's power.

Both/either of the Georgia OGs would be great draft picks. Not at #9. There is a huge need to upgrade the Guard position. Not at #9. There have been 1st round caliber OGs before, but that was due to a combination of other position groups being weaker. Drafting an OT to move to Guard is not going to improve draft position unless you plan to try him at Tackle first because you also need a Tackle.

OT, OC, then OG. I know the 'inside out' rule. Consider the OL as one unit rather than 5 individual guys.

Right now the Saints desperately need help pretty much everywhere. Use #9 to get an all pro super star football player. Whatever that position is.

Would love if they signed Becton.
