Expect more cap can kicking, ridiculous trade ups, etc. further mortgaging any real chance the team has to actually contend. Would have been better to sneak into the playoffs where they would have been absolutely embarrassed and force the FO's hand.

Now they'll trot back the worst staff in the NFL add a few rinky dink FAs, trade up again and proclaim they're contending for a SB.

In reality, they're old, have zero cap flexibility and are tied to a historically unpopular coach and QB.

Loomis should be fired for having the gall to add void years that further mess up the cap for a backup QB who won't even be on the roster. That's just gross mismanagement.

It is bad because Loomis and Allen are going to dig their heels in and say oh if only we would have gotten that help from other teams in the final week. We played great the last two weeks, it’s not our fault the tiebreakers work like that, we would have went on a roll in the playoffs. We are so close, chop that wood, grind, etc etc. Nothing changes.

I'm not with you on Loomis. I do think DA is not the answer and we know Pete isn't. I think it's a foregone conclusion that DA stays. We could be lulled to sleep on the PC offense the last 4 weeks against bad teams.

Miss the playoffs
Win just enough to get a mediocre 1st round position
Retain DA
Retain PC.

Absolutely. NO ONE respects this staff. Not the media, the players, the fans. Loomis is the only lunatic that believes in these coaches.

Once they play a real schedule, it will get ugly and fast.

Expect to see lots of players taking shots at Allen on their way out.
