Would the Ravens trade Mark Andrews? (2 Viewers)

So you'd rather have 5th rd TE than a young QB with promise??
On a thin team, I'd rather have a player that plays. Our TEs are apparitions in our offense. Our 5th round QB is gameday inactive. So yes, I would rather have a 5th round TE.

Carr is only under contract for two more years. Were the Saints to make a coaching (and/or GM) change, there are outs before then. Having let Winston walk, unless you're ok with Hill as QB2/TE/FB, they had to make a move at QB.

As for CB, I agree re: the depth vs depth at TE. IMHO, CB, TE and WR are the most often injured in the NFL. I suspect that with CB/WR, once you are a little slower due to injury, you're ineffective.

At TE, I think it's a function of being the El Camino of positions. Is an El Camino a truck or a car? Is a TE a receiver or a lineman? Having to do two different jobs means that if you suffer some kind of injury, if it makes you ineffective as a receiver or a blocker, maybe you can't be on the field as a TE - and so that embiggens* the scope of injuries that can make you a scratch.

Ratler is inactive every week. Might as well be Nathan Peterman and have a TE instead.

If I'm Baltimore I wouldn't move Andrews until after the season.

I agree with your point that, putting aside Hill, Rattler is not performing the active backup role, which is Haener, who was suspended last season. That's a minus for picking Rattler.

However, since Carr is not under contract in 2026, there needs to be a plan for some kind of attempt at a franchise QB being brought up, particularly where the coach might not be long-term. It's possible that Rattler is perceived to have that upside potential than Haener.

Carr is under contract for 2026, his contract voids before the first day of league year 2027.

I'm all in on the Saints trying to get Devante Adams but I'm not sure if they'll be willing to part with what the Raiders want. As I'm watching the Ravens/Bengals game I starting thinking....what about Mark Andrews??
The Saints desperately need a viable tight end and I think Andrews would be a great fit. Not to mention the fact that he isn't being targeted this year like he once was. I wonder if the Ravens would be willing to part with him and if so for what price?
I was thinking maybe Dawson Knox, Mayer since Bowers is going to be the guy or one of the Packers young TEs.

I can’t even lie. That’s an interesting trade scenario. I’d gladly get him for the right price. He can still play although maybe just out his prime. Still has some years left and could be our best option and a viable pass catching threat.

Baltimore is not trading Andrews. The Ravens are all in for a Super Bowl or bust run. Andrews and Lamar have great chemistry and they don't want to disrupt the locker room. If anything, the Ravens will add someone and not have anyone leave.
