Would YOU Be Proud of this Team? (3 Viewers)

I think Saintsman209 feels the players are a little generic and unknown. Our SB team and through about 2015 was made up of recognizable cast of characters that not only played well, but you felt like you knew them and liked them. With 2 or 3 exceptions, our current players are not larger than life and don't have much in the way of back stories. I blame part of that on NFL mobility, more and more players migrate from team to team. We have some good young rooks and sophomores, so it should be better next year.

BINGO!!!

I don't think we realize how special that 2009 team was. What a great group of guys!

If Derek Carr and Dennis Allen won a Superbowl here, I would learn to love them. Case closed. Not splitting hairs about their character. Just think, Bill Belichick, he's a mumbling terrible speaker( worst interview ever) but New England loved him until they didn't.

Huh... I've been a member of this forum for almost 20 years and I just discovered the "ignore thread" feature. This is as good a thread to start using it on as any, I guess.

I was thinking today, even if the Saints won the Super Bowl, I don't know how proud I would be of this team. I really LOVED Drew Brees and the previous players we had. They had character, generosity, talent, love. They were truly New Orleans Saints players and fans. This regime is stuck in the past and they don't have the skins on the wall. It's pathetic. Even if our team won the Super Bowl, I can't stand Derek Carr. It's obvious people don't respect his bible thumping ways and I also wonder how players truly feel about Demario. Dude is getting a massive pay check while preaching sermons and missing the playoff. These guys aren't interested in playing football, just spouting off their latest guilt driven idea.
My eyes! I can't unsee what I just read.
