I don't understand the Anzalone hate. You guys act like he's in the same category as Fred Thomas, Jason David, or Shanle. I think we'll be fine

Someone’s already addressed Shanle but Fred Thomas doesn’t belong on this list either. Thomas was a quality starter for the Saints for several years before age and injuries caught up to him like they inevitably do to every player

Anzalone gets alot of hate because his shoulders are made of glass and he often reacts late in the passing game and gets washed out in run defense too much. He's a good back up, but not starter quality imo. Kwon is a legit starter, but also made of glass. But if both guys are 100% healthy, Kwon is still far better than Alex.

On November 2, 2020, Alonso was traded to the San Francisco 49ers with a conditional fifth-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft in exchange for LB Kwon Alexander. Alonso was eligible to practice with the Saints and 49ers since October 19, 2020, but the 49ers declined to activate him from the PUP list by November 14, 2020, and he was ineligible to return during the season. He was released with a failed physical on November 23.

In short, he's not on the Saints' squad and he's not eligible to play anywhere this season.

Right cause what did Payton say early on when they released Bradham "wanted to give the young guys a shot". That mantra changed real quick. That's when they picked up Kwon cause Anzalone was cutting it. Still I think they need to go get a LB regardless if the secondary picked up. You see how Irv Smith Jr. was getting open in the endzone .
