If we move on from Carr, then we must get a veteran QB on the roster. I know Daniel. It wouldn’t be a terrible option. Admittedly, yes I’m partially biased, but unless someone could tell me that he failed in a good/great situation, then I won’t accept your argument.

I've posted that if Joe Brady was the guy, then we should sign Daniel Jones. I'll apply that to CKM as well. Daniel Jones has the ideal/perfect combination of size/mobility/arm strength for a modern offense.

I think CKM is going to build a modern version of a 90s offense and a protypical size QB who can run would be needed for it.

I will not hold failing at QB for the Giants/Jets against any young QB.

I heard McCarthy won't be ready for the start of the season so Minnesota needs to re-sign Darnold. Jones should be looking for a new opportunity.

I've seen too many successful QB reclamations in the NFL to write Daniel Jones off. I'd love to have him on the Saints if the money works.

That said, I just read up and learned that both Vikings starter Sam Darnold AND Daniel Jones are going to be free agents next month. And Vikings #1 draft pick JJ McCarthy is still rehabbing from knee surgery. The Saints' (or any other team's) chances for Jones partly depend on what near-term decisions the Vikings make.

Yeah, the Vikings need to commit to one and go all in. Darnold seems like the logical choice.
