He's better than most think. He would certainly perform better here under Moore then he did with the Giants. But he's not a 10 year solution. He's a stop gap/placeholder QB just like Carr. He's likely not quite as good as Carr either. I just don't see the point. We'd have to eat Carr's contract then pay Jones and likely be a bit worse off. Doesn't make any sense.

I literally made a joke about this in another thread. The year we got Payton and Brees we drafted Bush. So we have a new un-proven, offensive-minded head coach, are in a good position to draft Jeanty, all we need is a FA QB that had a season ending injury. Enter Daniel Jones to complete the trifecta and we are SB champs in 2028! Book it

Given the right coaching and scheme I could see Jones having a Darnoldesque career revival. It would be a gamble but if Moore goes that route I’m all for signing him to a “prove it” deal. Like I said in another post - it’s going to be a very interesting off season.
