I doubt that M$ is going to throw the baby out with the bath water....there is a huge player base for CoD on PS consoles...it will depend on if they want that immediate money or just want to hold millions of CoD fans hostage in order to boost console sales

i can't say that i care if they make CoD an Xboner exclusive...i wasn't going to buy it anyway

also, for being worth 70 billion, Activision doesn't really have an impressive lineup of IP

No, per Amy Hood - Microsoft Finance Chief, they are purchasing for their subscription base, to boost their GamePass numbers (Xbox, Mobile, and PC).

I thought Bethesda was a big acquisition….70 billion ? I bet all the NEW games from Blizzard/Activision will be exclusive though. Cause all of Bethesda new games will be. Starfield, Elder Scrolls 6 and a bunch of other stuff..we will see, it’s just wild.

I don’t even like COD games but I love the Diablo games. Maybe Microsoft can clean out all the trash at Activision/Blizzard ? Hope so…

after spending 68.7 billion on a pc focused publisher, i guess xb will benefit from cod and overwatch (if they make them xb exclusives). the other titles, not so much. pc will keeping being pc.

the idea of the "omg console wars" is all but dead...at this point, it's pretty clear that all 3 console makers are doing something completely different

Nintendo relies on gimmicks and a staple of top selling IPs....they aren't interested in being the most powerful console and there is really no need to be when you are making the kinds of games that Nintendo people play

Microsoft just wants subscriptions to Gamepass...it's a great value and probably the most consumer friendly....the long term effect on the devs of these games is yet to be seen....look for plenty of monetization from Gamepass titles to allow devs to recoup money they might have gotten for a traditional sale of their game

Sony is content to keep on doing the same things they have been....they know if they continue to make bangers, people will happily buy them.....and they are being persistent with VR which is mostly dumb but i guess someone has to do it
