Because he's the worst sportscaster in the history of mankind. Sportscasters and fans alike have no problem at all criticizing players. However, if you criticize a sportcaster I guess that makes you just plain mean. I am sure away from the microphone, Kenny is a fine person. In front of the microphone he's an arogant, self righteous, no talent, self important, uninformed boob. Did I go to far?

LOL, you're pretty over the top with it (i.e. "foolish"), but I do agree that Wilkerson's not really half the sportscaster he is in his own mind. He's very arrogant, for no real reason, and that makes him very hard to listen to. I think it's just in his nature for whatever reason. Look at his old posts, and he was very much self-absorbed and pretty arrogant. I don't wish him any harm, however. It's a pretty stupid move to do so.

Replacing someone who is incompetent (or hoping their replaced) with someone competent is not only not stupid, it's essential for any successful orginization. It's not wishing any harm on someone, it's hoping for something better, for something above mediocre. And saying he's the worst sportscaster in mankind is called sarcasm by the way. Think it through before you respond and then maybe you won't sound so over the top (i.e. "foolish")

Yea you're referring to Deke and he's pretty intolerable.

It's pretty simple...if you don't like them, don't listen. Everyone has their faults, but I for one feel Kenny does a fair job.
I really enjoyed listening to him and Buddy for years. I'm sure the ones of you complaining were the same one's the ripped Buddy for years, but continued to listen.

That's all fine and good, but a) There isn't really any acceptable competition for WWL radio to get regular Saints talk and b) seriously, would it really be that hard to find an upgrade?

To say "if you don't like them, don't listen" you're implying that we're advocating throwing out the entire idea of Saints talk, but we're not. We're just talking about upgrading the quality of the hosts and programming.

By continuing to listen, you will continue to hear the same hosts. If all of you that don't care for them stop tuning in, and ratings will drop & your desire for change will be known.

Again, I feel like Kenny & Bobby do a very adequate job and I enjoy listening to them. I don't always agree with them, but still respect their opinion. If anyone wants to file a legit complaint, start one regarding the number of commercials WWL airs during sports talk.

I'll never forget Kenny's interview with Pat Yasinskas of ESPN after he wrote that article about the Saints taking a chance on Vilma and Dan Morgan. Kenny was hyping the article up about how the Saints might have the best LB corps in the league!! Pat kept trying to explain that you shouldn't bank on that, its like buying a lottery ticket and saying "woohoo I'm a millionaire!" but Kenny couldn't let it go. And after concluding the interview (aka: cutting his guest short), he proudly proclaimed again that "Pat Yasinskas of ESPN says that the Saints might have the best LB corps in the NFL!!!!"

He just couldn't or wouldn't understand what the article was actually saying. He's such a goober.

Deke and Kenny are both terrible. Hebert is a bit mentally challenged, but in a good/entertaining way. More importantly though, they need to cut down on the commercials- or at least have longer gaps of quality between commercial time.

I like Kenny, and Deke does a great job as far as I'm concerned; I'd rather listen to him than Bobby Hebert. Deke is homegrown, knows his stuff and he knows how to run the show.
Bobby has to learn to let people speak their minds and DO NOT INTERRUPT.
I just gotta shake my head & laugh every time I hear Bobby try to conduct an interview, "...and dontcha think,...and dontcha think,...and dontcha think...". The Cajun Cannon...oh please. Oh, yeah, shooting off at the mouth.

I like Kenny W. He and Bobby have good on air chemistry and I think they do a pretty entertaining show--especially when they are talking about football.

Deke...well, not a fan. I turn off the radio when I hear his voice, regardless of guest or topic. Thankfully, there are some fantastic posters here who recap any interviews I may have missed.

So with that line of reasoning, no NFL player should ever lose their job to a more talented player. Or for that matter no one should ever lose their job due to incompetence or poor job performance. We wouldn't want any bad karma floating around everwhere. Way to think it thru.

there's a difference between one player beating out another and in wishing for another to break a leg (or get cut or any number of things)... i doubt if you know it but you've used what's called a straw man argument... you've argued against something i never said
