N/S Cutler trade to Bears (mega merge)

Sorry he came to the NFC. But it coulda been worse ...it could have been the Bucs. :covri:

Bears stock just rose a whole lot! Gotta be favorites to take the NFC North.

:gosaints:

They will be dangerous, however, I would not count out Green Bay in that divison. They still have a good defense and alot of talent on offense. Plus, Aaron Rogers will be even better. Also if Sage plays consistant the Vikes are dangerous with their ground game and defense. One thing is for sure....the lions will still stink lol.

Jason Reid, of The Washington Post, reports Washington Redskins QB Jason Campbell said he is ready to move forward with the Redskins after the team tried to acquire QB Jay Cutler. Campbell said head coach head coach Jim Zorn told him he is the team's quarterback.

Why isn't he whining and pouting and demanding a trade? Didn't take him long to be a man about it.

Maybe because he did not learn of the failed trade from ESPN and then have his team lie bout it. :9:

i just heard Mark Schlereth on ESPN (who is normally pretty level-headed) say that Cutler has a 'sense of entitlement.' ... Let me tell you something-- if i am a top producer at my company, then the owner brings in a new manager who tries to get rid of me, and i have a problem with it- does that mean that i have a sense of entitlement?? Hey, this is America, and my boss (or Josh McDaniels) can run the business any way he sees fit-- but it's also my right to shop my wares and make every effort to extract myself from the situation-- and does not make me 'entitled"

yeah, Stink's wrong about this one.

It's rather interesting that no Broncos player has said anything to the press about this. If they were taking management's side, then I'm sure that there would not have been a gag order. However...

For me Denver and Chicago are both winners.

Cutler re-unite with Earl Bennet wich will help him for the chemistry. Chris Williams played with them too. Cutler has a good TE-combo in Olsen and Clark, and Devin Hester as a deep threat. Matt Forte is good and he will be more durable and better than the RB at Denver.

Sure 2 first rounder and a 3rd is a lot, but what did you expect ? A franchise QB is very difficult to find, now Chicago has a experienced and proved pro-bowler.
It's better than drafting Stafford, Sanchez, or Freeman and wait 2-3 years to see pro-bowl level.

Denver got a good QB and 2 first round pick to accelerate their transition to the 3-4.

Plus, Orton only has one year left on his current contract, so they can seek a replacement next year in the draft. Tebow, maybe?

I'd say he faced 3 decent defenses, weeks 5 thru 7. He averaged about 190 yards and 1 TD. How can you not have a great year playing 6 games against KC, Oakland, and SD without Merriman? Then add games against Cleveland, Miami, the Bills, the Jets, and our pathetic defense.

I'm not saying that Cutler cannot become one of the best, but puh-lease.. let's see how he plays a couple of seasons in the NFC before we anoint him.

He can make every throw and is making good decisions as a pocket passer.

He's young and has a promising future ahead of him. That's what this is based on.

Reports suggest that at least 10 teams were seriously after Cutler. Think about that. 10 teams with professional talent evaluators deciding to go after this guy. You think they were misled by his numbers? Didn't take into account Denver's style of play? Opponents? Give me a break.

You don't get 2 first round picks, a QB, and a 3rd round pick for a guy unless you had multiple suitors betting against each other. This wasn't a desperation move. This was an auction. Wake up. The guy is good.

He reminds me a little of Brett Favre. He is a gunslinger and i do not see how he fits into the Marty ball style the Bears play. I predict a very lopsided TD and INT ratio.

Yeah I honostly don't know how he's going to perform. The trade has to be evaluated over the next 2-5 years. I'm defending his performance thus far amd the legitimacy of making the trade.

He could throw 16 picks then break his leg in a naked snow skiing accident with Bode Miller for all I know.

Reality is : He's played well, he's young, he's got a cannon, he makes better than average decisions. He's completely capable of busting still, but who isn't? Manning and Brady since they're considered elite and won SBs?

Oh, woe is you and your QB struggles. It must really suck to only have won one Super Bowl (and 8 NFL Championships prior to that).

We had two guys named Billy Joe at QB. At the same time.

:ezbill::hihi:

Including the one they took from us and then proceeded to stink up Super Bowl XLI! Right on brockmeaux! I wanna puke every time I hear a Bears fan whine. I hate the Bears.

:plus-un2:
