I think they did the fans a disservice by glossing over the Britta/Jeff finally having sex issue by making it very dismissive. I guess maybe they didn't wanna Jump the Shark by making them a couple and then either marrying them off or breaking them up.

I still think that they need to address this.

It was almost a "dream sequence" if you will, by having the consummation of a relationship within the post apocalyptic world of the "modern warfare" episode, the writers were able to eat their cake and have it too. They successfully got together without losing the core sexual tension between those two characters and can continue on without the show losing steam akin to so many other shows that die after the main romantic relationship is started.

I think it was one of those things where it cooled the fire for awhile but it's going to have to be addressed again eventually.

Right now this is THE Best show on TV! It just seems to get better every week. The amount of refrences and movie spoofs are just amazing. It seems to play on everything out there. It is just awesome!!

My favorite was the buddy cop episode with Annie/Shirley as the loose cannon and by the book cop stereotypes. I love how Abed followed them around eating popcorn the whole time! Then he takes over for the dean and starts yelling at them in that movie cop way and takes their bagdes. Then annie says to shirley as they leave the office:

"That black captain that Abed was playing is right..." .

That is the funniest line I have heard in awhile!!! :smilielol:

Right now Community and Parks and Rec are carrying that Thursday line up on NBC. Is it just me or does The Office and 30 Rock just not seem as funny as they once were? They both seem to have lost their way, especially 30 Rock. That show is just all over the place right now. I can't even tell you that last really funny thing I saw on that show. Anybody else think they are slipping a little?:idunno:

From what I've heard, that rant was written by.... Donald Glover (Troy from Community)

Both the Office and 30 Rock are still kicking butt. Are you kidding me?!

Just last week Dwight Schrute tried to give horrible sperm because he didn't wanna pay $30,000 for a breach of contract for a child by straddling a microwave, beating on his sack and other damaging acts of ridiculousness.

Liz Lemon asked Jenna if she soaked her tampons in vodka again. These shows are still on the top of thier games.

Well I didn't say that they were not funny anymore. I just think that they are not as funny as they have been in the past. They are still both really funny and way better than almost anything out there.

It just seems that with how good Community has been that the other two just aren't holding up as well. I still love both shows. It just seems that they are both becoming waaaayyyyy over the top. I mean the funniest stuff on the office is when someone does something that you say I can actually see someone in my office doing that. Now it is just about how crazy Dwight is. Or lets see if we can trick Dwight with Morse code. (I mean how much time and effort would Jim and Pam have to put in to learn morse code, just so they could talk about dwight??) It is just getting a little to silly for me.

Although i did love the "Date Mike" episode where Micheal meets that bartender, and he turns into "Date Mike". JMHO though.

The Office is struggling. And I love the Office. I still watch the reruns when I see them on. 30 Rock is still funny, but a shell of its former self.

Community and Modern Family rule the roost at the moment.

I think The Office is finally catching back up. Once they finally gave into the Jim and Pam storyline they dug into it way too much. They are finally back to making them part of the show and not the whole show.

I didn't care for Modern Family. Maybe I need to watch it again from the beginning, because I didn't catch it from there, but I just didn't get into it.

Looking forward to the finale. Thought it was on at 8:30 eastern so I missed it :covri:. Gonna have to wait for it to be put on hulu or some other site. Gonna suck to have no more episodes for 6 months

The finale was pretty good, I called the end. Señor Chang remains the best character on the show, and one of the funniest characters of all time IMO.

Thanks to this thread I have a new show to watch. I watched the paintball episode the other day and it got me hooked. Watched everything they have on hulu so I guess I need to wait until they release it on dvd to catch all the way up.

I was very very skeptical when I saw the first commercials for this show. Chevy Chase was not exciting to me then. He is great in this show, and the rest of the cast is amazing. This is a show that I will definitely own on dvd. I can watch an episode over and over again.

I am a huge fan of scrubs, and what I love about both shows is that the large cast allows for each character a lot of room to grow and develop. Plus the complete suspension of reality that both include. Very different from a show like The Office that is mocking reality tv.
