Rolando McClain (1 Viewer)

I have been very proud of the fact that our team doesn't mess with players who have character issues. If anyone can give me an example of an instance in which we did I would love to hear it. I cannot think of anybody since SP has been here.

Damn, I'm new to this site and realizing you will get red thumbed for anything!!! lol, I might be to sensitive to post here!

McClain turned out to be a one-trick pony, and a huge liability in coverage. Came off the field in a lot of sub packages. Limited.

Peep this...u know the ravens switched to a 3-4 when Ray Lewis was unable to run sideline to sideline effectively. HE was still allowed to be a force in the run game but it took some pressure off of him because he didn't have to cover the whole field.

McClain is a better 3-4 candidate. Sure Lofton can play MLB in a 4-3 but his coverage abilities or lack off stand out more.

Can you Imagine McClain and Lofton hitting people in the 3-4? They are going to light RB's WR's up over the middle Good Gawd.

McClain can hit...but hes also very smart. Cut the field in half for him in a 3-4 and suddenly he looks a lot better.

That's fine for our 3-4. Spikes has made a fine career for himself being a 1 trick pony in New Englands 3-4. We need an enforcer on the inside of our defense.

And boy is he an enforcer.

You see the lick he put on sproles...........for a 6'3 guy he got LOW and knocked THE SNOT out of Sproles.

We need that

I want that

the more bodies the better more of a chance of landing someone that makes an impact for this team this guys really young and athletic so he has that going for him!

Isn't this the guy who stood over someone with a gun pointed at their head? Why even make a thread about this piece of trash?

I'm sure the team still has their draft notes on the guy.. If they did any psychological evals, problems would have likely shown up there.. You do have to wonder how being in such an unstructured, unstable organization like the Raiders would affect someone, especially a young player who just became a millionaire..

Low cost, clause in contract about keeping his nose clean. Why not? Brees is king and that locker room would keep him in check. Lets give it a shot.

Uhm. No. I love the saints and all, but this guy is a peice of trash that the world would be better off without. No way I want him on my team.

Such an out of line thing to say. I wonder how many of those are in ur family pal. I'd love to see what we'd find if we could peal the curtains back n peak into ur life

Anyway, I wouldn't b against giving McClain a looksee at all...he or Sergio Kindle. Yes these young men still have alotta growing up to do but it doesn't mean they can't do it. They could still become productive members of the league AND society

I read a story about him dogging it in practice one day, Dennis Allen was trying to get him to pick it up, and he ended up telling Allen to go **** himself.

They suspended him for a few games, and he finished the year as scout team RB.

Has had brushes with the law too, just sounds like a head case.

And Ted Bundy could be innocent.

This is an NFL team not a halfway house.

Yes the Saints have a strong locker room but its not their job or place to rehab these guys lives. The only way McClain will grow and straighten up is when he wants to do it for himself.

If you feel so strongly about bringing him in why not let him stay at your house he could even share a room with one of your kids. There no risk anything bad could happen.........:covri:
