Chargers had a 13 point lead and possession with 6:50 left (1 Viewer)

It was like looking in the mirror.

When Rivers hit his receiver right in the numbers on 3rd and 22 on the last drive.... and he dropped it....it was like being sucked into a Saints wormhole and coming out the other side. Freaky.

Well looks like the charger's players have some real to protest this week.

I was texting my brother back and forth and during that sequence, I'd look up and see the saints recovering a fumble. I thought it must have been because I was passively watching, so on the final chargers possesion, I left the room.

You're welcome, everybody! ;)

That was a lot of us yesterday :)

The missus and I went out and about shopping for decent clothes for a cousin's wedding in a few weeks. Fully intended on only "peeking in" to check the score once we got home. We had just scored on Kuhn's short catch to make it 14-7 when I turned it on...then Drew had the pick on the play to Coleman where the spacing was too bad for a completion. Switched it to movies and continued with dinner plans. Went back out to the store for something and heard the radio call...the usual tennis match of a game that happens when we have no defense to speak of...figured it was lost at 34-21.

A friend texted me at 6:45 p.m. and asked "Are you watching this game???" At that point, I figured we had somehow come back to win. From now on, only peek-ins and watch the torrents later if I have time :)

I noticed on forum the Patriots fumbled 5 times. Did anyone see the fumble statistics from the Patriots last 10 years. It's was off he chart how little they fumbled. Now with proper air pressure in ball makes it tougher to hold onto.

That one wasn't a total fluke or lucky break. Moore got a piece of the ball and disrupted the pass just enough to cause the drop. Yeah, it still hit him in the hands, but it was knocked slightly off course and the spiral of the pass was altered. I'm gonna give Sterling his props for that.

We have been on the wrong side of this SO MANY TIMES that I can't count, unless I want ulcers. We were due. Seriously. Finally WE were on the right side of a probability busting event.

We recorded the game early in the fourth quarter to make dinner. When starting dinner, I added to the blessing "please let the Saints win." Then while we ate we watched the fourth quarter, skipping commercials to catch up to real time. We figured out later that the first of the two fumbles had happened at about the same time that I said the prayer. Amen!

I had a similar experience to several of you. After we punted on 4th and 6 with 6-something-minutes to go, I figured that was basically it. I decided to have a long depressed shower. After I emerged I learned of the win, to my amazement.

It's funny how your day progressed "passively" watching the game. I did just that on three occasions during our 09' season. One in particular was the Dolphins game. I left the house to run errands for a party when we were down 24-3. I tried to read the body language of everyone I saw in all the stores to get a feel for how much worse the game got. In Target, there were all these people in Saints gear just shopping (just like me) so I imagined they'd all left because how bad it had gotten.

When I got home, my brother texted me -- "unreal!"

I flipped on the TV just in time to see Porter return the INT to make it 46-34, us.

I'm not a typically superstitious person, but I really do wonder if my undivided attention to the Saints causes them to play poorly. :)

Whenever I found out we won that game I was literally dancing in the street

fairly certain it was above 99% after the Saints punted with < 7:00 left

99.8%, actually!

and still lost. Fumbled on 2 straight offensive plays.

I am still in amazement.

Its even worse. They still get the ball back, down by 1, with 1:57 on the clock and a timeout. They get sacked don 1st down, botch a shotgun snap on 2nd down, incompletion on 3rd won, and then the game sealing int on 4th down. 6 plays: Fumble, Fumble, Sack, Botched snap, incompletion, interception.

Now thats bad. Never seen anything like that since watching or playing the game. Quite remarkable.

I was unable to watch the game and just watched the DVR last night. On Sunday I had received a text from my brother Charger fan...

NO 14 vs SD 24

I texted him back without knowing the final score...OUCH.

His response to that was a little bitter.

:hihi:
