What was his name ? I remember getting Nolan Franz’ autograph at the old Lake Forest Plaza out in the East lol… the other players I remember were Johnnie Walton, Buford Jordan and of course Marcus ‘Sick as a Dog’ Dupree

I was just corrected, he didn't play for the Breakers.. was in the arena league. Died some years ago, Was security for our college bar in Hammond early 90's. Saw him sling a pool table out of his weighed like it was nothing to stop a fight. Keith was a good guy, strong as an Ox .

Dont know if its been mentioned earlier but despite each team being "assigned" a particular city.

All teams will play all of their games...........in Birmingham.

Maybe the dumbest idea in American sports history.

My understanding is that’s only for the first season, while they get the League off the ground… kind of reminiscent of the NBA covid ‘bubble’ in Orlando.. then each team will play in their home city.

Maybe the dumbest idea in American sports history.

That was actually the elimination of sudden death overtime in the NFL, for the nonsense we have now.

I can understand the logistics advantage of getting a new league like this off the ground by having a central host site for all games, but wow, it's a big risk from a marketing/brand awareness perspective. They must really be counting on TV revenue to raise enough funds to keep the league going its first year, because I can't see people in Birmingham coming out to the stadium to watch a New Jersey vs. Michigan contest. Also, artificial field turf or not, that's a lot of wear and tear on that facility to host four football games each week.
