Too Much (1 Viewer)

I think Payton’s wants and the Saints needs or to much for a team to bite, I know we all love him but really what has he done since 2009 to give up that much draft pick and his outrageous salary
Uhh produced one of the best offenses in the league consistently?

As far the “only 1 ring” argument…..only 1 team has won more than 1 Super Bowl since 2009. It’s not an easy thing to accomplish.

Since 2009, he has won 11+ games 7 times. And has gone 58-23 in his last 5 years as a head coach. .716.

72% wins over 5 years.

Meanwhile we have decided to keep a guy for his 5th year and he has won 28% for his career.

I wish I could monetize how easy some of you are swayed in a negotiation. Here we are with something of value that people want...and you're letting "agents" of the interested parties tell you that what you have - that parties that they have an interest in, want isn't worth as much as you think it is. Then you turn around and say "yeah it isn't worth that much...you'd be crazy to think it's worth that much" and offer it to them at less than what they were even expecting to settle at.

BRUH!!!

Nail, meet head.

He was an asset the minute he retired, for a year now. And now that its time to make good on the asset...is he really an asset?

Damn what everyone says...he's worth as much as what we (Saints) say he's worth. If no one wants to pay....you let him sit.

If Arizona let everyone else, like Quinn, know they wouldnt be the head coach, that must mean they have settled on Payton. This is where we now have leverage. Theyve moved all their eggs into the Payton basket. Give us the #3. I just dont want to send any more draft picks along with it. If theyve pegged Payton as their guy, theyll give us the #3 overall pick. Gruden got 2 1s.

If they feel he is franchise altering as a HC, then the #3 pick should be attainable.

Something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. So far, nobody is willing to pay what's been asked.

Well we really don't know either way. All we can do is speculate based on what may have been leaked and those same leaks can very well just be something pulled from a beat reporters rear. We won't know anything until something happens
