[Merged] Saints sign WR Bryan Edwards (1 Viewer)

He will either be the greatest signing ever or the worst signing ever. No in-between.
Yep. Those are the stakes. Bold statements have been made. Predictions have been predicted. Lines have been drawn in the sand and sides have been taken. Bryan Edwards is either going to be the single greatest WR in Saints history or he'll be the most disastrous signing in NFL history.

Time alone will tell...

Can't we just get a guy who has a skillset that fills a need without spending a Ron of money or draft capital? People, especially now have to go to the extremes on their takes.

Meredith forever changed my expectations on FA WR signings...anything above that I'm good...and that leaves a lot of room for mediocre...which I'm open to settling for.

I know he was battling injuries.
I know he was cut.
I know the QBs was below par.
But 3 catches on 5 targets after 34 catches on 59 targets the previous year, what happened to him in Atlanta last year.

The reply he was referring to in his comment was mine, and one that was meant ENTIRELY in jest, so I believe his comment was as well.

Man I'm with you on Meredith. I had so much hope tied up in him. All the potential was there. Never mind the fact that he had a debilitating injury that forced him to miss an entire year, he was going to heal and he was going to be the missing piece.

9 catches for 114 yards and a TD later nothing was left but shattered dreams.
