PFF - have y'all seen this (1 Viewer)

Carr leads the NFL in 4th QTR/ OT comebacks since he entered the league. He has largely done so despite a subpar line and inconsistent weapons. Y'all trying to beat up on him for red zone efficiency and comparing him to Dalton shows you haven't really watched him play much.

With the weapons we have Carr is going to ball out and we will have an elite offense.

And others could say that the over reliance of the "4th QTR/OT comebacks" argument shows the same thing. Apparently, those in Raider Nation have been complaining about the RZ for YEARS and this actually coincided with them being bottom 10 in scoring in multiple seasons and Carr's TD rate also finding itself there. And as I said earlier, the weapons argument don't fly, considering we probably had one of, if not, the worst group with an injured O-line in 2021 and for the first half of the season, we were the best in the league in the RZ. RZ is on the coaching AND the QB. That's why I always say, all that "cliché" BS that Underhill and Ross talks about when reporting on Carr ("read defense," "call protection," "multiple plays," "change plays at the line," etc) don't mean crap if you can't get the ball into the endzone. Then it becomes (everyone else's fault).

But at the end of the day, if you don't think Carr's red zone issues are worrisome, you are dismissing a very important element. I hope he can turn it around but if he shows that he hasn't and can't, they need to make the red zone, "The Taysom Zone."

in 2020, before McDaniels got there and ruined the offense Carr was one of the top ranked Red Zone QBs:

I was just going to chime in on this. Under gruden, they were a very good rz team. The west coast offense gives you this because the pass is also used as the running game. I wonder what Tom Brady's rz rate was under McDaniels. I have never understood the flirtation with him to make him a HC. He failed in Denver, and he's failing in Las Vegas.

Raiders RZ Conversion Rate:
2018 - 22nd (53.49%)
2019 - 22nd (52.89%)
2020 - 23rd (54.24%)
2021 - 29th (49.23%)
2022 - 26th (48.94%)

Raiders RZ Conversion Rate =/= Carr's RZ efficiency.
I agree to a point until you peel back layers. I'm not saying that it is all Carr but there is rarely ever a time where QB RZ efficiency doesn't translate. Now, honestly, I don't know if this guy is a Carr hater or not, but in that crazy Derek Carr is "the worst QB inside the 10" craziness on Twitter last week, this guy pulled this stat out:

As I said before, I'm not going to put it all on Carr, as coaching is just as important, but these aren't the prettiest things to look at. Again, I hope that this changes here.

And before "weapons" get brought up, we (as Saints fans) have 2021 to look back at.

Carr is going to look terrible under PC playcalling

DA should have bought a permanent offensive coach to help and oversee the offensive side

Yes DA tried to light PC booty by bringing in Grudog but that was only for a few practices

there is no experienced competent modern offensive coach in this coaching staff

*No No No Ronald Curry will always be a receivers coach in my Dads eye

We have a lot to prove. Potential isn’t wins. Let’s see how it shakes out.
