The problem of White Supremacy - Spinoff from Buffalo Shooting thread

That it happened at all? or said it happened in New Orleans?
There's no way a New Orleans cab/uber driver would recommend any Chinese restaurants (of which we have like 3). You're more likely to get a recommendation for which Brothers gas station has the best fried chicken than someone pushing Chinese.

It's like saying "My New Orleans driver talked about how much he admires Roger Goodell."

(Maybe Vietnamese possibly but even so I'm calling BS)

In Tokyo, whenever someone found out I was from New Orleans, they would quickly say ‘we have a New Orleans restaurant here - you should try it’

I find both very plausible
Would depend heavily on the driver. Someone who is a long time NOLA resident? No freaking way. Someone who is new to the area? Maybe plausible but I'd still say unlikely. Most people who are in NOLA will recommend the places the area is known for regardless who is asking.

Bruh- it was not good
Yeah, same here in DC. There's only one place I've tried that came close, and it was a NOLA native who got displaced by Katrina. It was good, but insanely expensive. Not really worth it.

There are a couple of Jason's Deli locations and they're ok and reasonably priced, but a little out of the ways so we don't stop there often.

Anything else I've tried has been pretty terrible.

I find it plausible the driver was new to the area and preferred Asian cuisine as well so that's all that came to mind.

I'm also certain that driver said, "yall should check out 5 Happiness and 9 Roses."

I'm just saying there is more than one way to interpret a situation. In many cases here, folks have gone in with a verdict before even hearing the argument. Might be as you suspect, but there are many other reasons unconsidered.

When I was in the ME during the 80s, I would have given anything for a Big Mac.

I haven’t been there in years but I thought this place in Arlington was pretty good
