Another drummer appreciation thread

I know this won't fall under a 'best drummer' label, but I always loved the percussion in this song (it obviously stems from my Latin American blood)....

Same for this song, it's a shame the Cavalera brothers had their falling out, I loved the OG Sepultura and was lucky to see them live w/ Ozzy and Alice in Chains at UNO at the final Headbanger's Ball broadcast when they were in town for the concert...

I was fortunate enough to take drum lessons from one for the best teachers in the city when I was in high school and college, Ray Fransen. There was a surprise celebration for the 40th anniversary of his drum shop in Kenner at South Port Hall. These are all drummers that had a relationship with Ray, whether it was as a student or business association. There's a few notable drummers that attended, Guy Gelso from Zebra, Stanton Moore from Galatic, and Johnny Vidacovich, famous NO drummer who plays with Astral Project. I'm the fourth guy from the left, Ray is in the middle.

That's my old high school friend, Tommy Buckley (Soilent Green/Crowbar) all the way on the left (front row)
He's such a great drummer.

I never really understood Rush, but they have their own unique sound.

Mix Grateful Dead with Black Sabbath, creates Rush?!?!

Do Rush fans do acid? I don't know...

Not really of a fan of his music, but his drumming does have something special about it.
