Could have had Jameis plus 20 mil in oline and receiving help

Instead we got Carr with nobody to throw to and nobody to blockf or him. Winston won them the game vs the Ravens.

Then again, we almost got Watson so could be worse

Because he won today? He threw 3 picks that were easy picks, one was the easiest you’ll ever see. Albeit they were all on the opening drive. They were all dropped bc that’s what the Ravens do this season (lead the league in dropped picks). He did play decent after that.

Could you imagine him behind this OL? He would have been on the IR by week 3. If this team was going to go with anyone but Carr it should have been a rookie so we get a cheap option for a few years while we reshape and retool.

The Watson part was funny, it could always be worse, that’s correct.

Only if that meant we were going to clean up the cap. Jameis had a great day today, but he was never going to be the long term answer here and probably not anywhere else either. Plus, he had way too much personality and had the entire offense commit a mutiny the last game of the year DA is was too fragile to handle that.

No QB would do well with this OL. It’s nice to see Winston playing well.

I don’t want to hear the “we should have kept him talk”. For whatever reason, the fans here were rough on Winston and I honestly believe he was never given a real opportunity to succeed.
