Should have kept Jameis (47 Viewers)

The only thing different with keeping Winston is like when Tampa kept Baker to reset their cap.

Which actually worked out for them.

You know when you take a measured approach instead of forcing and double downing on being a 9-7 team that depreciating year after year while sink a literally fortune long term to operate.

You can actually save money and compete while giving yourself options long term.

Well the Bucs are paying Baker almost as much as we’re paying Carr. The difference is they’ve kept him healthy.

The problem with keeping Jameis is I feel like they need something to sell the fan base every year. Last year it was Carr…after missing on Watson…This year it was Kubiak. Next year it has to be head coach.

Baker contract was a weird decision. Glad they didn't completely commit to tanking last year at the right time and get someone like Jayden Daniels.

Do not completely disagree with this, right now we are bad but even worse extremely boring
At least with Winston we may still be bad but at least not quite so boring

I don’t want to hear the “we should have kept him talk”. For whatever reason, the fans here were rough on Winston and I honestly believe he was never given a real opportunity to succeed.
As if the fans have any day so?

I watched a lot of the game. The Ravens dropped three terrible throws from Winston that should have been picked.
In watching that game, you also saw the Browns drop the same type of throws from the MVP front runner. Jackson should have had about 3 or 3 interceptions himself that people are going to gloss over being "hey, it's Lamar Jackson."

Outside of those 3 terrible throws (they were BAD), what else did you see?

See how this ages after JW next start or two.
Crazy thing is this was probably his first week getting first team reps, so he is probably going to end up getting better as the season goes.

Nah. It was best for him and the Saints that he moved on. Great teammate, though, and I don't think anyone can deny that.
Agreed. As long as DA is the captain of the ship, it was never going to work out. At the end of the day,
