They’re not old. The first mentions his rose bowl performance and the second is from mid-November.That's old and that report is more fitting to when he started the season. He made a good amount of strides throughout the season and became a better QB, the final product being what we've seen in the playoffs. He's not dominating these defenses but he's absolutely playing well against NFL talent.
I wouldn't be surprised at all to see in him go in the early 2nd or late 1st if he has a good combine/senior bowl. But he's not a rookie starter. He should definitely sit for a year.
No one is doubting he has some tools. It’s the notion that he’s one of the top QBs in the draft that’s getting pushback. He’s simply not, for all the reasons mentioned there.
