Saints met Shedeur Sanders at Combine [SBPP sources: Saints didn’t Pro Day—Top-30/ did a media bluff to not make interest obvious] (64 Viewers)

Should the Saints draft QB Shedeur Sanders if he falls to #9?

Word?

First time hearing this.

Underhill said the Saints like Sanders, but they like him more in the 2nd round or possibly in the late first.

Personally, I think #9 is too high for him, but I would like him late in the first or in the second. But, I think a lot of people just immediately say no on him because they don't like Deion and hold that against him. I don't like Deion either and it probably made me think of him as a mid-round pick for a long time. But, when you objectively look at him play and look at his high completion percentage and great TD/Int ratio, I think he's a good 2nd round QB. If he was a little taller, had a better arm, or was a bit faster, he would probably be a first round guy. But, he's not.

That being said, if Moore likes him at #9, I'd support the pick. As Elvis said, at some point we have to start taking chances on young QBs higher in the draft.

If he drops to #9….I would hope a team would offer us a ton in picks to move up and get him.

If Moore thinks he can coach and build an offense around him. I’m good with that option too.

IMO Shaduer will not fall to #9. Kid has been groomed for this his entire life. If he does fall the Saints would be foolish to pass on him. Stash for a year and LFG!! in 2026.

I would be very against taking a project QB in the first round. At nine there will be much, MUCH better players available.

We need to go Oline, Defense or I would also be ok if Jeanty makes it to 9.

Players that actually have 1st round grades. The QB’s this year are projects and need to be drafted in the 2-3rd rounds.

No no no. His wind up takes an hour and I watched him underthrow Hunter all season and get dominated by higher competition.
Also he holds the ball way to long he will be sacked a lot
Question:

“Does a crackhead want another hit off the crackpipe”???

Answer:

Yes
You'd have to be a crackhead to want him at 9

A big no from me, but then again l was dead set against Lamar Jackson when l thought we had traded up to get him

Not unfair to say a lot of people got Lamar Jackson wrong, but the other side of that is that Jackson was a legit physical freak with generational talent as a runner.

Shadeur Sanders is nowhere close.

I feel like once you get to that level you have to be talented and pretty special a lot of it comes down to coaching scheme and real support the kind the produces confidence
