I have seen those but idk man I feel it’s just folks thinking we’re a long ways away and need a reset. I’m one of those. I think Carr is a good QB, just don’t think he’s gonna be the guy taking us to the promised land, so I’d like to see us go young too. And I’m very far from a Rattler supporter, I do not think Rattler is at all the answer either. He’s just young and cheap.


I could very well be wrong tho and there may well be folks out there who do wish the team to do poorly because of their dislike of a player. It’s just unfathomable to me.

Normally I would agree but there are more than a few that would rather see us lose so we're forced to get rid of Carr rather than we win 10-11 games and a playoff win and keep him

Best case scenario for everyone:

We win and have a great season. Maybe try to build on that. Just have to win

I think that more has been made out to this than is actually there. If Carr doesn't want to be here, I don't see Moore hitching his wagon to Carr because he would have a very short career as a HC if that was the case. But I can also see Carr not wanting to stay with the Saints if they were going full rebuild and not trying to win, and I don't think it was clear early on which direction they were going. But it seems pretty clear than Carr and Moore are on the same page, even in nobody else is even reading the same book.

Moore is hitching his wagon to Carr because he has no other choice. They are tied to Carr, so Moore has to say “Carr is my QB, bla blah blah.”

It's 5 different reporters so it's at least 4 or 5 sources and probably more. And again, Underhill, Triplett, and Kirwin are not clickbait guys. It's not like this was in the title of any of their podcasts or articles. I even think the pod that Underhill and Tripp said it on was a members only pod. What use would it be to put click bait on a pod that is only accessible to people who already pay to listen to it?

Beyond that, none of the 5 have cited or mentioned the other reports.

I really don't understand why people so badly want to think Carr wants to be here. And to be clear, I don't blame him for not wanting to be here. He is often unfairly criticized by the fanbase, he's lived his entire life on the West Coast, he wants a contract extension before he is 34 or 35 which the Saints won't give him, the Saints have given him a terrible OL for most of his time here, he came here to play for DA, and he has mostly had no WRs.

It's not my opinion that DC was paid market value for a QB ranking where he was, Go look it up. It's not my opinion that he was courted by us AND the Jets , Go look it up. It's not my opinion that he signed with us on 3/6 almost a week before FA and did not take advantage of FA. It's not my opinion
Maybe you all should take a look at this. Does this sound like a guy that did not want to be here? A guy that did not care about N.O.? But from the minute he said he took his wife and family to Chipotle's a lot of you turned on him without giving him a chance or even taking his 1st snap

When someone is judged unjustly, they should be taken to task. When people attack a player personally they should be called out. My question is why does it not upset you?

It can be and most of the time is 1 source and multiple people quote the original source They ALL need / want clicks , likes and subscriptions , it how they get paid. The only pods that NOF does not put up on youtube are the Nickcasts and the non video ones thet Tripp does the one where he said that was on Youtube. . My point was DC DID want to be here, if he still wants to be I don't know , I surely wouldn't with the way he's been treated not withstanding any contract issues

Market value is your opinion. The jets courted him but that they were a serious suitor is your opinion. I never argued over the timing of his signing. And I never knew the chipotle thing until this year. I’m sure he initially wanted to be here. But in my opinion, he never loved it here. He didn’t fall in love with the fan base or culture. I don’t blame him, he loved the raiders and they broke his heart. I got the sense he was more guarded this time around. I don’t even think he should have loved it here. The transition away from Brees and Payton was botched. It wasn’t a good time to be the QB of the Saints.

Not a big deal to me. I don’t feel the need to go to bat defending the honor of Derek Carr. He will be an insignificant part of this team’s history in the long run. I hope he and his family are happy and healthy, which with his earnings, I’m sure they are.

I guess I don’t see it that way. Some folks will say stupid things knowing they’re behind a screen and mostly anonymous but most of what I’ve seen is just certain folks not liking a player for non nefarious reasons.

Usually because they just don’t think that player is going to help their team win. For a plethora of reasons tho, most of which have zero to do with hate or such. I think those words are thrown around way too much.

What I see much more is posters here who always put others down for their opinions, attack em with ad hominem stuff, speak down to them condescendingly etc.

That is what baffles me. We’re all just fans, none of us are special. None of us preach the gospel if you will. Or for my agnostic or atheist Who Dats, none of us strictly regurgitate the facts lol.

It’s a message board, about the Saints, for fans of the Saints to talk about their team. We will never all agree and you can never please everyone.

I love seeing things from a different perspective, makes me think. Sometimes I end up laughing at it, sometimes I view the issue in a different light after it’s been presented to me from another angle. Only thing I know for sure in this world is that I don’t know it all or anywhere near it all. I'm straight up telling you that Underhill and Triplett said Carr did not want to be here and did not want them to do the simple restructure to keep him. I believe that Florio and Breer said the same things, but I can't recall word for word what they wrote. I'm not making anything up.

But you are free to choose to believe I am because for some reason you can't possibly believe that Carr, a guy that grew up on the West Coast and played his entire football career on the West Coast, missed his first significant time to injury in New Orleans; just got done with a 5 win season; is on his third offensive coordinator and second head coach; hasn't been given the OL or weapons he feels he needs to succeed; is essentially in the last year of his contract and will be cut next year; was immediately bashed for taking his kids to Chipotle when he got here; wasn't here for the Super Bowl or Mardi Gras; and is either not liked or hated by much of the fan base, does not want to be here. I mean he only came here because DA was the head coach. Is it really hard to believe Carr doesn't want to be here given all of that?

You are absolutly right, He should NOT want to be here and he may very well not want to be here. I wouldn't. It's the haters that are thinking that after all they put him through that he should STILL want to embrace N.O. and the fans

I agree with Widge on this one but agree with your assertions overall about clicks and such. I also agree on your last about Carr.

Just wanted to type all of that out as you and I usually don’t agree.
