I would 100% take a 26 year old Drew Brees roster vs the one DA got. Granted SP didn't take over a roster with Brees, but there wasn't a Brees level FA QB for DA to go get either.

The poster I was replying to assailed my character as a person based on my support for retaining the head coach, and did so without provocation or retaliation from me. That's never necessary, especially seeing how this is a forum board for one team, the same team we both root for, not the entire league. I would expect character attacks from rival fans. I don't regard "sensitive" as an insult, in fact being sensitive is one of my favorite things about myself.

Welp, we'll have to agree to disagree....because, to me, the HC is responsible for both sides of the ball....equally.....

"Assailed your character as a person"? I must have missed where that happened, would suggest reporting it to the mods, they are great here....

PC IS his OC! He BEGGED him to be the OC when PC stated he wanted no part of being Allen's OC. PC is 100% DA's guy. What part of that do you not understand?

The person is making a habit of saying unpopular and/or highly questionable things, and when you respond to counter the usually bad point as is common on a messageboard - especially one with a passionate fanbase, its "personal" and "assailing character" along with other accusations. Id use the ignore feature for your own self preservation.

Its gotten a bit old already.

You are not the arbiter of what is popular or "highly questionable". Not every person on the board wants to throw more gas on the fire and burn the place down, which you make clear your desires in every post.

There is still a place for the optimists on this board that want to see things get better. This is a fandom that includes a lot of people. I would like to think that most want to win games.

In its own weird way, its quite an accomplishment to lose this many games. Most coaches get fired long before they lose over 40 games and don't get new HC jobs if they do.

I've heard DA is a genuinely good dude which might factor into it, I don't know. Either way he's making history.

 
No NFL head coach in the Super Bowl era has ever saw a 6th season as a head coach with a .300 or worse win %.

We have to hope history remains on our side. I truly believe Dennis Allen is the greatest threat to this franchise since Katrina. We created a winning culture, which is a very, very difficult thing to do, especially for a sustained period. Whoever gets this job next is going to have to do the same. Its going to take someone with a fresh look at the game, with a modern offense, and a hell of a leader. Allen has wrecked 16 years in 24 games.
