2011 EXPERTS Mock Draft **THIRD ROUND** Completed (4 Viewers)

With the 96th pick in the 2011 "EXPERTS Mock Draft," the Green Bay Packers

Greg Romeus, DE/OLB Pitt, 6'5" 264 lb.

Though his natural position is probably as a 4-3 DE, Romeus has the natural talent and athleticism to play stand up OLB in a 3-4. Though obviously not as explosive, Romeus has a frame and physical tools that compare favorably to Demarcus Ware. Touted as a first round prospect last year, we feel that taking a flier on him in the late 3rd would be a safe place to select him. Between Dontay Moch and Greg Romeus, we have the luxury of letting one of them develop and slowly ease into a starting job opposite of Clay Matthews.

Here's a piece about him fitting into a 3-4.

He played 4-3 DE at Pitt but fits well in the 3-4 as an OLB. He is very stout holding edge, plays with good leverage and has very long arms that help him stack and shed versus bigger linemen. He has good lateral movement to make plays from the backside. He is not a pure speed rusher but anticipates the snap count, which provides him a good “get off”. He uses his hands well, has a good bull rush and swim move and good closing burst to the QB. He needs to work on his counter moves but he has not played a lot of football (just started playing in his senior year in high school) and will develop more over time. Romeus’ best football is still ahead of him. He has some experience dropping into coverage but this is probably not his strong suit. He is a little tight in the hips but he can certainly hold his own in underneath zone. He is hard working, has good leadership skills and takes his job seriously. While he is not an elite athlete, Romeus has more than enough skills to be a starting OLB in the 3-4 with enough upside as a pass rusher to fill a void for the Jets.

The Bears Staff is excited to add Moore here who we had rated as the #4 receiver in the Draft. While the Bears had hoped to go elsewhere or trade down for more picks, moore represented too much value to pass up here at the end of the 3rd round. Moore is the first receiver in Tennesse History to post Two Two-hundred yard games in a single season At UT. Exploded at the Texas Vs. Nation game, and killed his 40 Dash Time at the Combine. We do not believe that there is much separating Moore from many of the wide receiver prospects taken in the first round and with this selection the bears now have incredible speed, route-running and athleticism in our receiving corps.

Johnny knox 4.28
leonard hankerson 4.36-4.4
Danarius moore 4.37 (pro day)

Moore reminds us of Redskins receiver Santana moss and can play all 3 receiver positions. We think that this addiition will further add to Cutler's ability to get rid of the ball quicker and is another weapon for the Mad scientist martz.

Most underrated player in the draft, IMO. Great pick.

They just came out!

Was just coming to post the same! 32 picks to 23 teams, highest was #97 to the Panthers.

I'll post the list when it's up.

Looks like Carolina gets a 3rd, Greenbay and Tennessee get 4ths, Baltimore gets two 5ths, and the rest are 6th and 7ths....

Just wanted to say thanks to all you GMs and all the posters...I don't follow college ball and all the conversation here is very informative. :worthy:
