2024 7th for Ingram (1 Viewer)

Wait until that 7th rounder turns into a Marques Colston type pick for Houston and Ingram has retired by then

Come back to see the fun threads here then

It happens so often. That one time in 2006 when we managed to nail both 7th rounders.

Let's ignore the other 20 years worth of 7th rounders though...

HOW COULD WE TRADE THE 256TH PICK 3 DRAFTS FROM NOW FOR A STARTING RUNNING BACK!?!?!?!? OUR FUTURE IS DOOMED!!! DOOOOOOOOMED!!!!!

Lol, sums the board some days. Wonder if theyll take a 2024 5th rounder for Cook

What's crazy is that I'm sure Houston said, "how about a 2023 7th"..and Loomis said "no."

I was just going to say will they accept something similar for Cooks? I mean they're not going anywhere. Do Cooks a solid and send him back home!

More likely… Hou: how about a 2024 5th rounder? Loomis: how about a 2024 7th rounder, you pay his bonus, and adjust his contract more in our favor? Hou: ok!
Don't mess with Loomis.

This whole thing is incredible. The present value of a 7th rounder in 2024 is essentially zero. Then, they get Houston to pay the man $250K AND Ingram lowers his base, gets rid of game bonuses and signs a very low cost extension.

I wonder what Houston is asking for Cooks? A 2022 3rd or 4th rounder? Might be able to give them a 2023 7th rounder instead. Lol

Loomis is the man. No, we won't give you a 2023 7th round pick, it's a 2024 7th rounder or pound sand......

It all began with simple conversation between Payton and Loomis a few days ago:
“Mickey and I talked about it in Seattle and we felt like it was worth calling, just kind of poking around,” he added. “Once that momentum began, I was still somewhat skeptical, just relative to the role he was playing for them.”

Very nice "what the heck, let's give it a shot" call.

And here we are with Mark Ingram on board for a 2024 7th round pick. And with a one-year extended contract to pretty much guarantee he retires with the team he should. And a highly likely chance he'll play on Sunday.

This all pleases me, greatly.

Right now, the Saints prolly have more UDFAs on their team than anybody in the NFL! Not only do they play, they START!

So I’m sooo disappointed we gave up dat 7th rd pick for a player like MI!!!

😂🤣😂🤣😂

He wasn’t on the field on 3rd downs and Lindsey is younger. That crowded backfield was a dang cluster with those 3 RBs.

Yeah but to be honest Ingram runs better than Lindsey, you can see it when the Texans played against the Panthers.
