LSU is about to get ‘run ruled’ by the Bulldogs.
This is so ugly.

I knew we weren't going to be able to rebuild the team into another championship caliber team overnight. I'm just hoping it won't take 13 more years to update our Intimidator signage with trophy #8.Wonder if there is another shortstop on this team? Braswell has to be the worse in a longtime for LSU.... not sure what JJ saw in him to transfer here
I don't know. I think LSU could field two competitive teams but may not be able to field one good one. They are deep but so far they are missing an ace. Pretty sure we have 3 day three starters but missing a number 1. Hurd would be a great #2 but he throws meatballs too much.I knew we weren't going to be able to rebuild the team into another championship caliber team overnight. Sounds like we'll miss hosting a regional from that^ description. And I totally agree.I don't know. I think LSU could field two competitive teams but may not be able to field one good one. So far the weaknesses are glaring. Missing a dominant pitcher, the lineup can smoke fastballs but boy they struggle against breaking pitches. Defense, Tommy Tanks has looked fantastic, the rest of the team has struggled. They are young and deep. Some bats will get hot and some of these holes will get fixed. They are as talented as any team out there but they are also young. I think we improve a lot as the season goes on. MSU matches up really well against us. Sound defensively, a lot of guys with breaking pitches, pesky hitters with a couple of guys you just can't make mistakes with.
Christian Little is so good on paper and so bad on the mound. He got buried last season with a double digit ERA and when we finally gave up on him our pitching staff found itself. I think that needs to happen this year. He just throws lines. Yeah, it's 95mph but it can't possibly be any straighter and he stays in the middle of the plate. I think we have a much deeper staff this year than last but not nearly as talented. It may be the type of season where we just ask the starters to get 4-5 innings and progress through the bullpen.
We are going to eat some teams alive that walk in with pitchers that throw gas. The lineup still needs some work. We are kind of short on left handed bats and heavy on Freshmen. It'll come together.
I wouldnt go that far yet. This team is going to win a lot of games.Sounds like we'll miss hosting a regional from that^ description. And I totally agree.
I'm sure that the Tigers will roll... in the midweek games. But the SEC is the powerhouse conference in baseball this year. It will be hard to win any series on our schedule much less sweep our opponents. LSU pitching will need to improve greatly, and our batters will have to learn how to hit against some of the best pitchers in college baseball. It's been a while since I've seen the Tigers struggle this much in the batter's box.I wouldnt go that far yet. This team is going to win a lot of games.
