Senior Bowl notes, Day 2: Taylor Elgersma, what Mobile dreams are made of
It’s easy to get caught up watching the established, “star” players out in Mobile, but if you only do that, you’ll miss what truly makes it great. See more on WWL and Audacy.www.audacy.com
I like him to fill our need as a X WR. The question will be where will he move up in the draft... He probably will not be there in the 4th like he was originally projected.

PFF puts our hard stats that are great. Their problem is they also put our subjective stats as hard stats... Only a coach on a player's team can grade that player subjectively and be close to correct...
I also like the OG from North Dakota State...
With his size & speed, he possibly will move up to a 1st round pick...He hasn't been going in the 4th in the PFF mock simulator for about 6 weeks or so, he's been going in the 2nd (pick 55ish).

Some of these guys had great measurements.
WRs
PFF had McCoy listed at 230lbs. If he was 230lbs at Tennessee and dropped 215lbs for draft prep, he could be a more explosive player in the NFL. All of his physicals measurables are great for a NFL WR.
Bru McCoy, Tennessee (American team)
Height: 6020
Weight: 215
Wingspan: 7758
Hand: 1000
Arm: 3328
Felton and Higgins measured great for Big X WRs.
Da’Quan Felton, Virginia Tech (National team)
Height: 6043
Weight: 222
Wingspan: 7858
Hand: 0948
Arm: 3328
Jayden Higgins, Iowa State (National team)
Height: 6036
Weight: 217
Wingspan: 7938
Hand: 0948
Arm: 3328
Royals is sturdy at 5' 11" 210lbs.
Jalen Royals, Utah State (American team)
Height: 5113
Weight: 210
Wingspan: 7338
Hand: 0928
Arm: 3100
TEs
Fannin is the same size as Bowers. Bowers weighed 5lbs more with slightly shorter arms/wingspan, but he has slightly larger hands.
Harold Fannin Jr., Bowling Green (National team)
Height: 6031
Weight: 238
Wingspan: 7878
Hand: 0938
Arm: 3318
Ferguson and Taylor had good NFL TE measurements.
Height: 6047
Weight: 245
Wingspan: 8000
Hand: 0948
Arm: 3338
Height: 6047
Weight: 250
Wingspan: 7828
Hand: 0978
Arm: 3278
O-line
If we want to build a line like the Eagles, here's a couple guys to look at. It's time to stop getting bullied on the lines.
Belton is someone I've been drafting a lot in my mock simulations. This dude is massive and his official measurements are elite.
Anthony Belton, OT, NC State (National team)
Height: 6053
Weight: 345
Wingspan: 8318
Hand: 1028
Arm: 3458
Jalen Rivers, OT, Miami-FL (National team)
Height: 6053
Weight: 337
Wingspan: 3438
Hand: 1018
Jalen Travis, OT, Iowa State (National team)
Height: 6075
Weight: 341
Wingspan: 8348
Hand: 1028
Arm: 3448
Ozzy Trapilo, OT, Boston College (National team)
Height: 6075
Weight: 321
Wingspan: 8128
Hand: 1028
Arm: 3348
I don't like Savalinaea's height for OT, but this size at LG or RG could be a mauler. His wingspan and arm length is elite with big mitts for hands.
Jonah Savaiinaea, OT, Arizona (American team)
Height: 6036
Weight: 339
Wingspan: 8168
Hand: 1028
Arm: 3458
On OT out of Wisconsin.
Jack Nelson, OT, Wisconsin (American team)
Height: 6065 (not official)
Weight: 310 (not official)
Wingspan: n/a
Hand: 1000 (not official)
Arm: 3358 (not official)
DT/NTs
This is the guy we need to draft and put him right next to Bresee.
Black is huge with a wingspan 7" longer than his height, massive hands and 35" arms. He'll have the reach advantage on most interior OL. That's probably why this guy is so great at Iowa keeping the OL off of Higgins to dominate at LB.
Yahya Black, iDL, Iowa (National team)
Height: 6055
Weight: 337
Wingspan: 8428
Hand: 1028
Arm: 3500
Walker is a mountain. I'd be giddy if we came away from the draft with these two guys to plug on the D-line. Walker is probably going a lot higher b/c of his disruptive ability and Black just doesn't have stats. His stats show up in the LBs stat sheet for what Black does on the line and he'll probably be available later making drafting both of these guys a possibility. The days of getting bullied need to stop.
Deone Walker, Kentucky (American team)
Height: 6072
Weight: 340
Wingspan: 8448
Hand: 1068
Arm: 3458
Reminds me a little bit of Khalil Mack, explosive and violent.Maybe teams will get hung up on his short arms and tiny hands completely overlooking his 17 sacks and developed pass rush ability causing him to fall.
I was on board with drafting Milroe as developmental prospect sometime after the early first round pick, but his hands are comically small. I don't believe any successful QB has ever had hands in that 8.5 inch range. They said Milroe had a better day than yesterday at the Senior Bowl, I'm hoping he improves his stock enough for a team in front of us to draft him, therefore pushing down a better player for us
I dont think he has a chance of going before 9, but Jaxon Dart does. They said Milroe had a better day than yesterday at the Senior Bowl, I'm hoping he improves his stock enough for a team in front of us to draft him, therefore pushing down a better player for us
