3 new Star Wars movies announced (1 Viewer)

That being said, how much more ‘future’ could we really get in Star Wars?
Jump 500 years ahead. Grogu the Conqueror, the force endowed, mythosaur riding, dark sabre wielding ruler of the Mandalorians has become the most powerful figure in the galaxy. A zealot to the Mandalorian warrior ethos, Grogu has brought the planets of the outer rim to his heel and now turns his soulless black eyes on the planets of the New Republic. Will the galaxy bend to his will, can anyone rise up to stop him, or can he possibly be redeemed?

I want John Boyega in a movie as Finn, hunting down the former First Order leaders who were responsible for kidnapping children and putting them in the Stormtrooper program, and just murdering the shizzle out of them.

Kind of like Simon Wiesenthal crossed with Chuck Bronson.
So, you're saying you want a Star Wars version of this?

That would be awesome but I think he is DONEDONE with Star Wars

He's walked back his hosility recently and said he'd be open to returning in the right circumstances. There's been conflicting reports but there's some smoke out there that he's met with Lucasfilm.

If they featured Finn as Rey's first student and an established Jedi by this point (15 years post TROS) that would go a long way towards addressing his complaints.

I will say this, though. We don't know much about what this movie will be. When Damon Lindelof was attached to write it, the only vague rumors that were floating around were that it would follow two new characters and that it was somewhat inspired by the anime movie "Your Name," which involved body swapping between the main characters.

Lindelof is obviously no longer on board and it's been said the script is being rewritten. So that may be out completely. They really focused on the "New Jedi Order" aspect, even giving that name to the current part of the timeline. Sounds more like the focus is on Rey and not new characters with her in a supporting role, which is what the Lindeolf version was implied to be. As much as anyone really knew anything about it, anyway.

The fact that they are going 15 years forward means they can correct a lot of what made the the characters and story of the sequels so awful. Enough time has passed for Finn to have a better motivation than shouting Rey’s name, Poe to not be a bumbling idiot that can fly well and acts like Fletch, and Rey to have a real motivation that is personal and not scene dependent.

The characters of Rey, Poe, and Finn were fine as presented in TFA. The problem is they were poorly written, inconsistent, and lacked believable character development. In the right hands and with 15 years separating them from the cinematic crap fest that was TRoS I think they could be fantastic. They are three really impressive actors, arguably the most talented Star Wars cast we’ve ever seen, so give them something to work with and they will be great.

Also, depending on how things go we could possibly see Ezra, Grogu, and Ahsoka as part of this new Jedi Order.
I like the idea that they’d hold odd until then to have grogu talk (which I think is the main reason Mando is having Din and grogu spin wheels bc they’re not ready to have grogu grow)

A decade ago I would’ve cared and been excited for them. Now thanks to Kathleen Kennedy’s leadership and direction of the franchise I will be utterly shocked if they are any good. Internet sources are saying that if “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” isn’t a huge hit she will be fired. BUT I wish had a dollar for every time KK was rumored to be fired. She is the unkillable vampire of the movie industry. The only thing I can figure is Kennedy legitimately knows where bodies are buried and has threatened to release all the evidence if she’s ever fired……..

For some reason KK is only measured on her failures. I’d like to see new leadership over the SW franchise, by KK is the woman that was in charge for Rogue One,The Mandalorian, and Andor. So I don’t assume KK being there means something is automatically bad. She has hits and misses like just about everyone.
