3 new Star Wars movies announced (2 Viewers)

For some reason KK is only measured on her failures. I’d like to see new leadership over the SW franchise, by KK is the woman that was in charge for Rogue One,The Mandalorian, and Andor. So I don’t assume KK being there means something is automatically bad. She has hits and misses like just about everyone.
I do appreciate how good some of the SW content has been with her in charge. The SW shows on Disney+ is major family time for my family. We sit down and watch them together every week, and that's a lot of fun. Rogue One was obviously great and a lot of the animated stuff has been fun.

BUT, she was also in charge during the dumpster fires that were the sequel trilogy. That was messing with my child hood heroes! And for that I will have a long memory and hold a grudge. It's kind of the old saying, "One Aww-sheet equals ten attaboys." The sequel trilogy was a ginormous Aww-sheet. Takes a long time to average that back out at the previously mentioned ratios.

Mando is all Filoni and Favreau. In fact they've had to fight to keep Kennedys hands off Mando. Only reason they have the pull is Favreau being responsible for the MCU and Disney live action movies.

Rouge One and Andor are Kennedy's and they are great.

The first Jedi was from 25,000 years ago, so I'm sure Darth Plagues doesn't even exist yet. I am down to see him, though. That's who I wanted Snoke to be.
The first Sith, IIRC, was a "dark Jedi" named Aka Sith who disagreed with the Supreme Jedi Council's philosophes, and ideals that balancing harmony, focus, and intelligence were the only ways to access the Force, but also through extreme emotions like anger, rage, hate, and fear. The first ancient Siths were a far, bigger, more existential threat to the Old Republic and the Jedi than those weird, strange, covert hidden later Siths like Palpatine, Darth Maul, and even Count Dooku. There was a period of time in the Star Wars universe about 10,000 years before the events of Clone Wars, A New Hope where the Sith order was more loud and proud about their existence, and they engaged in a violent, bloody civil war against the Old Republic and their Jedi allies, a conflict Republic won because the Sith order were a very chaotic, extremely power-hungry, violently competitive hierarchy that fought as much among themselves as their Jedi enemies. That is really why they adopted the Rule of Two (master/apprentice) relationship. I know they made a very good video game about these events, but a really well-written, produced TV series going more in-depth and explaining the power struggles in this era would be interesting.

It's also been suggested by some hard-core Star Wars fans, and historians that some of the leading Jedi Council, like Mace Windu, may have known about or suspected Palpatine was not all he claimed to be or that he was hiding some, powerful forces from the time of Phantom Menace all the way up to the very beginning of ROTS, but they lacked evidence, or proof to nail him.

We probably understand KK’s actual role/input less than we understand Mickey loomis’s (which we hardly understand at all)

It doesn't help that Star Wars/Lucasfilm are the subject or more bullshirt rumors and hearsay from questionable sources than any other franchise or studio. Marvel has been catching it pretty hard lately but still is a distant second.

Like right before celebration a bunch of rumors hit about backstage drama. No Way to prove a word of it but people run with it like it's gospel.

She runs the studio and greenlit the D+ shows. It’s been pretty widely reported the the success of SW on D+ is the feather in her hat that is keeping her in the good graces of the top cheese at Disney.

KK is pretty hands off creatively. In the case of the Mandoverse that has probably been a good thing. In the case the the movies, that may have been a bad thing. She has never been one to Fiege it and get super involved in creative decisions choosing instead to be a purist producer (hire the talent and let them do their thing).

She deserves the credit for the good and the bad. I’d like to see more a a Fiege type that gets involved creatively as well. I think that is always better in shared universes.

Yep, it certainly seems like with the last trilogy she was too hands off creatively. I still think having a different director for each individual movie doesn't make much sense.
