According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch is telling interested teams that they have an offer of two second-round picks for Garoppolo on the table

I don't think it was us and I certainly hope it wasn't us. Two 2nd round picks or more for Jimmy G would be crazy. I'd rather start a rookie than pay that. I think I might even rather start Book or Bortles than pay that.

Well we can eliminate Miami. They have Tua and Teddy. But Carolina is possible. I don’t think they’d trade him within the division (Seattle) so it has to be Indy, Carolina, Atlanta (assuming a Ryan trade) or Us.

Edit: Carolina doesn’t have a second round pick.

The 49ers traded Alex Smith to KC for two 2nds and KC traded him to WFT for Kendall Fuller and a 3rd. I don’t think JimmyG coming off an injury is as good as Alex Smith.

The 49ers traded Alex Smith to KC for two 2nds and KC traded him to WFT for Kendall Fuller and a 3rd. I don’t think JimmyG coming off an injury is as good as Alex Smith.

Jimmy G uninjured (which is rare) isn't as good as Alex Smith was. Smith was the pinnacle of a game manager.
