A microcosm of Winston’s career (3 Viewers)

Carr did not put points on the board today. Sure the D sucked...but Carr was flat as well...3 and out, give up TD, 3 and out again, give up another TD...can't blame defense for Carr not putting up points. And TBH this ain't new on Carr...hes back down to < 1TD a game now
Alright so what do you propose? Start jameis and taysom? let me know how that goes.

Winston's biggest fault is he's always looking for the kill shot. DA coaches to not lose.
I don’t really think you need distinction here, DA is good about 50% of the time, his teams show up 50% of the time and Winston literally executes 50% of the time.

A distinction without a difference, they are the same type of producer… net zero

Honestly should've just given Teddy Two-Gloves a 2yr/$30M contract.

Ah, now I get what you mean. Sorry about the misinterpretation.

I mean, he came in with game well over down 27-3 late in 3rd Quarter, zero fault of his own, all Saints fans already knowing we had lost the game. And then, then, well he made a freakin game of it. And yet people get mad when he, still playing from behind, came up short with some ints and want to bust on him because we did not win. Pretty sad. And absolutely a microcosm of his career.

All good man. I just still am trying to comprehend what I saw today. I saw a brutal defence in first half, brilliant in second half, you see brilliant Winston play first few drives, brutal decisions last few. It’s like a microcosm of our team and our coach.

I was sure in my heart of hearts Winston was gonna win this one for us. Wanted it for him. But he did what people thought he would.

I'm not blaming him for losing the game at all. Even with the ints he made the remaining game watchable. But he DID show what he's always done. Those type ints are not isolated to this game and coming from behind. It is who he has always been as an NFL QB.

Good Jameis can only hold off Bad Jameis for so long. At least Payton had figured out how to make Good Jameis play in control. Like I've said before, it's not coincidental that both Derek and Jameis have looked their best when they've thrown Pete's playcalling out the window.

Are people really blaming this loss on JW? I don’t think they should or are. I think he is the kind of guy that can bring you back when you are desperate, but a completely boneheaded play is always lurking around the corner. For every great play there is an equally bad play coming. That’s his career. Lead the league in passing with a record number of interceptions and barely 1.1 to 1 Td/int ratio.
