After What CGJ said about New Orleans last game, I’m pulling for the KC Chiefs (4 Viewers)

Also I'm pulling for the Birds. Love Barkley and cannot stand seeing the NFL's personal pet team win. First Brady and Patriots, now it is Mahomes and the Chiefs.

One thing I find interesting is in the way the Vikings have been foils for the Saints every year but 2009, the Saints have been foils for the Eagles in three of their four playoff matchups. Payton and Brees are 3-0 against the Eagles in the post-season, including a signature road win in the snow.

They didn't retain him because of covid messing up the cap. I have no doubt we would've kept him otherwise.

They absolutely had the money to sign him and decided not to. Heres just a few of the offseason moves

S Marcus Williams (tendered at $10.612M; re-signed) - Left the following year to join the Ravens anyways
DE Tanoh Kpassagnon (UFA Chiefs; $4.5M/2 yrs, $2M gtd/$500K SB) - Hasn't really worked out so far
TE Nick Vannett (FA Broncos; $8M/3 yrs, $3.8M gtd/$900K SB) - Did anyone even know he was on the roster?

Just for clarity, Hendrickson's contract was 4 years with only 16 million guaranteed.

The simple truth is, DA didn't recognize his talent and know how to use it much like Baun. This was a common theme in the front 7 under DA. All he did was aquire and coach up secondary talent. His defense survived off of coverage pressure and sacks. Once we lost Onyemata (another really good front 7), our run defense went to trash.

It certainly looks reasonable to make the assumption that DA was so arrogant about his secondary he believed front 7 talent wasn't very important since he had Jordan and Davis anchoring it. Either that, or he just simply had no idea what front 7 talent looks like and simply kept Davis and Jordan because their known names. Pick your poison. Theres not really any wiggle room for anything else.

Took too long for everybody else to get on that train.
x 1,000,000. 10 years from now, someone here will clutch their pearls and post about a tweet he made after a YMCA old man basketball game he played in. Living rent free in people's heads.

DA sent the only alphas on the team out of town. CJGJ being the first. And I don’t knock him for bashing the team for it. He’s getting under our skin like he used to do to everyone else. That’s why we loved him, can’t be haters now. Rooting for both of our guys.
Speak for yourself on that. I never liked him and wish they would have gotten rid of him earlier. He was nothing but a cancer.

I’ll be pulling for him Baun and the Eagles all the way.
Yeah me too! Then we can stick it to Philly by taking their offensive coordinator 😂 I can't get offended by some former player says about the Saints.

With this new scandal who knows what goes on in that building for sure. I am sure a lot of the distinction is real. That is why I really want a Sean Payton book at sometime be cause you know he won't hold back. We have done players wrong more than once.

Love my Saints but it is what it is .

I will be pulling for the Chiefs as well. I despise mouth runners like Gardner.
So when he was making plays you despised him then? I know you will probably say yes because you are almost bound to respond like that. I only have the when they aren't on our team talking trash and baiting players into 15 yard penalties 😂

You have proof that he was nothing but a cancer? I would think if he was Drew wouldn't be in contact with him . It is easy to say these things but I wonder how many were saying as he was picking Brady off time after time and sealing victories for us. My guess is very few if any.

He wasn't a cancer. He's always been a great teammate and the only issue he's had was with an equally alpha MT and with soft as Charmin DA. And he was a great player for us that gave the team some fire.

They didn't resign him because Dennis Allen suggested he wasn't worth bringing back, not at the contract he took. I think they made a play late, but it was too little too late.

I did. Look it up I am sure my comments are still on here somewhere. I believe was when I was comparing him to players like Barry Sanders. Sanders made plays that were impossible and just acted like he had been there before.

The Chiefs are my 2nd favorite team. I also think they have the 2nd best uniform behind ours with their all red. The one thing I hate though is how the media talks about Mahomes. They act like he's the second coming of Jesus. He is excellent, don't get me wrong, but it's obnoxious the way they talk about him. I remember when he had a little boo boo with his ankle and they made it sound like he was out there with a bunch of broken ribs and a collapsed lung. Oh wait, that was Brees who had that and led a scoring drive. Beyond all that, one thing people are not talking about is how KC joined Miami, Buffalo, and New England by going to their 3rd Super Bowl in a row. That's pretty crazy. And think about that. 3 teams from one division have gone to 3 Super Bowls in a row.
Honestly I know its small but it's Taylor Swift that makes me hate the Chiefs otherwise I'd want them to win
