All of Lou Hedley’s punts were inside the 20, three were inside the 15 (1 Viewer)

I think you do a great job of analyzing your play.
Tbh the yard takes makes us look clueless about the objective of punting. We’re complaining just to be complaining a lot of the time to use the punter as a punching bag for the team’s failures in other areas that caused Ls. We blatantly ignore the consistent field position results from most of his punts.

I thought we were supposed to cut him. Where are those "fans" with that energy now?
Still complaining and nitpicking because they don’t understand Hedley’s way of directional punting for field position and no gain.

We use to 50+ yard punts with 10-15+ yard returns and think that’s good punting because the punter padded his personal yard stats. While the long punts lack control and awful for the Team/gunners containing the returner.

There’s no difference for the team if that punt landed at the 7-10 yard line and returned 9-12 yards to the 19. It dropped at the 19 and immediately fair caught because he punted for the gunners/team and not so much personal yard stats.

He’s not lacking in distance based on his punt logs in previous games. I think it’s challenging for most to measure him by field position than conventional stats.
This is a false choice. He could and should have gotten a bare minimum of five more yards on that punt without being returned; ten isn't at all unrealistic. Getting the ball only to the 19 left a lot of meat on that bone. It's not like he was punting from his own 20.

His other punts were good to great but that one was poor. Only one yard better than a touchback.

It’s an IN20 punt that was fair caught at the end of the day. The other 3 attempts were also IN20 and landed at the 14, 3, and 9 yard lines. But the focus is on the IN20 punt that was at the 19 which was fair caught. That’s outrageous nitpicking. Its still an IN20 punt of no gain purposely punted that way for the gunners’ containment.

It's not "outrageous nitpicking." It's a fair criticism. Simply dismissing that criticism by stating that it was inside the 20 so all is well, represents facile analysis. A good punt would have very reasonably made it five to ten yards deeper while still being punted in that fashion, without being returned. It was a poor punt.

It’s outrageous nitpicking when the focus is on criticizing that IN20 punt but the other 3 deeper IN20 punts aren’t mentioned. It’s a fair caught IN20 punt with gunners surrounding the returner as the ball drops.
