Alvin Kamara meeting with Roger Goodell (Update: “Meeting went very well”) (2 Viewers)

2-4 games range. “Inside the building, they’re thinking he’ll probably get 2 games.”

I think 2 - 4 is most likely based on everything. I really don’t think it’s gonna be 6 or more because the disposition was a misdemeanor. And I think the fact that he settled the civil case and apologized, along with no other incidents, are big mitigating factors. Add his community and other outreach work and I think anything more than 4 is total overkill at this point. Two or three seems right. I’d be happy with one but maybe that’s light.

I flat disagree with SuperChuck. I'm thinking 3 +/- 1.

/sarcasm off

:gosaints:

People keep pointing to the video as a reason why Roger will bring the hammer down on AK. To me the video actually helps AK. You can plainly see that he lost his composure, made a mistake, and threw a punch. But that's basically all he did. Surely Roger isn't going to hit him with 6 games because one of his friends went buck wild on the dude's head. AK's actual physical involvement in the beatdown was limited.

Now you can say that AK has to run with a better crowd and I get that. Do we know if his friends were criminal types or just regular people? If the head stomper had rap sheet a mile long then you have a great point. But if the stomper was relatively clean then how was AK supposed to know that the dude was into stomping in a big way?

I just hope we get a decision soon so that if needed there is time before season start to appeal and get the final outcome. Since the plea and Civil case settlement I have, like many here, considered 4 games tops. Now with his personal appeal to Goddell, I am hoping for 3, which would be a great outcome, considering what the potential was several weeks ago!

LOL I think the meeting was "Alvin, you give me your best Sean Payton dirt and we'll see what we can do here."

If it's a one-game suspension you'll know he gave up the goods.

4 games is my guess.

The NFL charges full price for preseason games and you can't opt out.

They claim that they are exciting games that fans should enjoy, real football.

Here's a chance to stand behind their words and let the three preseason games count toward the 4 games.

I know it's not going to happen so don't flame me.

Goodell decides that now he really gets to show his hate for SP and let’s AK41 off with a slap on the wrist since SP is no longer with the Saints

I’m in agreement with much of the board. I think they hit him with 4 games and potentially allow him to appeal it down to 3. But at least 4 is going to be the hit, I bet.

Hope it’s not 6. 😬
