Wouldn’t cut him this year. All we do is creating another hole. Waiting to see if his contract gets converted. This could be his last year if we don’t redo it.
 
Cutting him this year will incur in almost 17 million of dead money, next year it goes down to 10.5 million.


Right now I think it is better to keep him even as a backup.

The priority is not to keep him or cut him, is to secure good playing from our left guard, by him or someone else.
 
If your reasoning for cutting him is cause you don’t think he is good, don’t worry cause he will play less than 5 games. Most teams have to play at least 5 games with backup linemen anyways.
 
Judging by the Saints recent contract moves and departures he ain't getting released. Saints have too many holes to fill and I doubt they want starting guard to be added to that list. Think he stays for another year.
