Anyone catch Sirianni’s quote on Kellen voting for the tush push? (2 Viewers)

I'm sorry but Sirianni is 10x the head coach of anyone we've ever had here not named Sean Payton. Guy systematically destroyed the Chiefs in an embarrassing fashion, should have beat them 2 years ago but for a phantom holding call.

That was Kellen Moore homie. Prior to Kellen arriving they were getting their stuff pushed in against Tampa in the playoffs.

You and I watched two incredibly different games then. I watched Kellen Moore's offense own the Chiefs defense and Travis Kelce throw the Chiefs offense.

IDK, against Tampa I saw the shoddy defense give up 32 points, as a team they lost 6 out of their last 7 games.

No one watched the Playoffs in '22 I guess. The one where they dismantled the Giants and 49ers then hung 35 on the Chiefs only losing due to another famous KC sus call. Kellen Moore was OC for the Cowboys then friends.

And if Kelce wasn't a half second off the snap every play often missing his chipping assignment, we likely would've been in another position for a famous KC sus call.

We get it, you hate Kelce. I'm not a big fan either. Kelce had a poor Super Bowl, but most of the KC team did until Philly pulled the starters

The Eagles offense went from 8th in yards in 2023 to 8th in yards in 2024.

The Eagles defense went from 26th in yards allowed in 2023 to 1st in yards allowed in 2024.

Fangio was the difference maker for that team and it really stood out in the Super Bowl.

The tush push is one of those plays you see in sports where everybody knows it's not in the spirit of the game. It's cheap. Just look at the Yankees with the torpedo bats. Just imagine a bat where almost the entire barrel is the sweet spot. Technically legal for now but again, it's not in the spirit of the game.

I'm sure if this was a Saints bread and butter play I'd see it in a different way. Like if they tried to ban Taysom Hill running off Tackle with the jumbo formation. If they tried to say that overloading one side and running Wildcat creates an unfair advantage I'd be like, "If you don't like it then stop it" knowing that it's basically unstoppable. Some might see that as a cheap way to get a 1st down but that's football. Good old fashioned smash mouth football. The tush push is different.

Agree with this.

It’s “legal,” but not within the spirit of how NFL football is intended to be played. I actually think that’s a reason why most teams still don’t use it and opt to still just do the traditional sneak.

It’s against the spirit of the rules and also outright boring. It’s like playing Madden and watching a team spam a cheat code or glitch every time during the game’s most important moments.

Don’t worry though, as soon as we show we want to play that way too this season, I am sure the league will move forward with the ban ahead of 2026. And I am not against us using it if it is there for us, I just don’t think it should be.

I don't even understand what all the fuss is about. Everyone from peewee to pro has been running the play for decades. We just called it a quarterback sneak. Why would they want to ban a play that is such an integral part of the game?

It’s much more than just a QB sneak. If it wasn’t, this controversy wouldn’t exist.

Virtually all teams except the Eagles and Bills, are still running traditional sneaks.

It's just a variation of the same play. When we had Drew, we had our own variation at the goal line. Drew went over the top, stuck the football across the line then pulled it back in -- just another variation. If you don't like it, stop it.

And the crazy thing is everybody about to beef up their D-line not realizing those sacks and pressure was because of coverage because Fangio's defense was one of, if not, the best in the NFL against the short pass game.

What an arrogant condescending prick! I’d vote against it on principle alone. This clown is lucky Kellen turned his team around, I watched his utter coaching failures in week 3. If not for Kellen he’s probably unemployed. Instead he has a ring. Get bent dork
You need a sense of humor.

All the fuss is about a play that is technically legal but clearly not in the spirit of the game. It's not a QB sneak. It's something that was banned for years and then the Eagles decided to take advantage of a loop hole. The NFL changed the rules against pushing players forward years ago but it was for O linemen pushing RBs forward for extra yardage. They didn't anticipate a team putting a bunch of large men behind a QB and then plowing over DTs.

It's one of those plays that would be a glitch or cheat in video games. Like back when Chip Kelly had his entire Secondary literally tackle every eligible receiver we had in order to take the penalty in order to run time off the clock. Or when Belichick would find an exploit glitch before it was patched. It wasn't against the rules but it was clearly not in the spirit of the game. I'm sure this will be patched.
