Sorry I’ve been traveling all day so haven’t read thru the whole thread, but i just read a post from this morning where you proudly declared urself “MAGA !”.. you seem like a decent person, why do you want to label yourself , and box yourself in ? Who cares what Hillary Clinton says or thinks, no one likes her anyway.. i myself am a proud Registered Independent [tm] since the year 1992.. im not saying i have it all figured out (i dont)- but i like to think im ‘a la carte’ when it comes to politics.. i pick and choose based on which issue or which candidate is on the ballot; if facts change, then i change.. i dont understand why anyone wouldn’t be that way honestly.. ESPECIALLY if being MAGA means you declare loyalty to a certain candidate.. i promise you, if any politician asks for my “loyalty”, i am running the opposite way, to vote for the opposing candidate .. i believe in strict term limits, NOT loyalty in politics .

Well, I am not even sure what a "MAGA Republican" is; but it seems to be a slur that the left loves to hurl like it's a sick burn that actually means something so I thought I'd "own" it.
See also: deplorable (which we covered earlier).

I think the point is I actually detest boxes and labels. That's why I also said TALK to me as a person and find out what I believe and likewise I'll find out what YOU believe. That is the only thing that is actually productive and unifying.

Honestly, this is what really describes me. I wish all primaries were open because I would prefer to remain independent. I don't want any party or race or gender assuming I feel a certain way and expect me to vote as a bloc based on my affiliation and right now they ALL do.
 
Folks, this discussion is moving back in a partisan direction. Let’s try to move away from that please.

We’re not really sure exactly what we’re allowing for discussion here in support of processing what’s happened, but it’s definitely NOT discussion of the pros and cons of the presidential candidates or their parties and supporters.

It’s very possible that the thread has run its course.

Just remember that it is a rare exception. I was really anxious about leaving it up. I felt better about letting it go once I saw that @HoustonSaint68 was monitoring it fairly closely. He is a top-notch moderator, so thank him.

Please insert a mental image of Joan Baez singing Kumbaya around a camp-fire as we all remember to love each other. I am not going to actually link Joan Baez around a campfire, because I actually watched it one time and it was god-awful. This is supposed to be about finding our common ground and realizing having different views is not a bad thing. If we all thought exactly the same way, it is group-think which is quite dangerous.

Just because I think semantics are interesting, I think that he would still be an assassin had he completed his intent, simply because that act would have been an assassination. If the act is an assassination, the actor is an assassin. It doesn't mean he has to be a ninja or Jason Bourne.

RFK's assassin was a failed jockey with a head injury and an obsession with the Arab-Israeli war, and possibly drunk. Still, an assassin nonetheless.
